Q: 6. What size DC power connector does this come with? I’d like to get a USB to DC cable to use a battery with it.

A: The size of the power connection barrel is not listed, nor are we aware of a USB to DC power cable. However you could look in to using a Power Bank that has an AC outlet connection. Q: 7. I can't get it to display anything but a grey stepped gradient going lighter to the left it also outputs in on HDMI despite the 1080p59.94 signal being detected. Tried everything and cannot get rid of the essentially colorless color bars. Anyone else have this happen? I've swapped out everything multiple times and my Decimator has no issue with the signal.

[100 ohms] We are using it to convert from a VGA adaptor / DA to a Black Magic Design switcher for webcast. Used the builtin menu to configure - Black Magic switcher would not show output till we used a separate monitor with variable inputs. 5

[20 to 90% RH] Used these devices to successfully convert SDI content from a Blackmagic ATEM switcher to several HDMI displays. Initial use of Blackmagic SDI/HDMI converters was not successful because the Blackmagic device did not convert the 59.94Hz refresh rate to 60Hz. The Gefen Scaler/Converter is able to do this. One note: You MUST change the Blackmagic ATEM to Level A output from its default Level B. This is on the General Configuration tab. 5

[165 MHz] I own a couple of these and they are great devices overall. Along with the conversion I also use them as kind of a kick cable tester. The signal strength indicator often clues me in on whether or not my cable has some kind of problem. Someone else here said the converter can not do 1080p60 but I am using it with that resolution all the time out of a Roland VR-50HDMKII video switcher. Never had a problem with any output resolution. One big note on this converter. It can ONLY do 3G-SDI Level A. It does not work with Level B. Otherwise these units have been no problem at all in the field. Someone else came up with the idea to put a little plexiglass cover on the top to protect the built in monitor. I thought that was a great idea and have done that for my units. 5

[1.4 lb] Got this instead of the Gefen HDMI/VGA to 3G-SDI Scaler/Converter, as this Lumantek was enough from a feature set, and with the dipswitches, all adjustable on the device without software or screens. Simple, solid, and reliable. In one shoot, it even brought through a more accurate color rendering than the TVs and Projectors, showing our presenting laptop had a yellow night time screen mode on. Once we disabled that feature on the PC, this device showed our footage as pure white again. Wouldve been noticed on the stream, but not in the room. Nice. 5
