[Metal housing] This is my third IOGEAR KVM (I started with a more basic 4-port unit several years ago, and have upgraded twice as my PC configurations have changed). I bought this one principally for the DVI monitor support; one added bonus is that the volume softkeys on my keyboard work with this model where they didn't with an older one. I haven't made use of the two shared USB ports, but everything else works great. My only caveat is that the provided cables don't have a lot of separation between the monitor and USB connections (the main body of the cable is a single line that splits into the component plugs at each end). The cables are also pretty stiff, so for one of my PCs the USB plug was being tugged on and the connection would sometimes drop. I worked around this by adding a 6-inch USB extension, and everything is fine now. The cable is probably good for most PCs, and only affected one of the units in my set-up.

[12.65 lb] The device works perfectly as described. �It comes with all necessary cables and and the unit itself is substantial so it stays put. �A minor quibble is I wish it was cheaper.

[4 ea] I have used Aten KVMs for years. Whenever I am looking for one for another purpose or to match upgraded equipment, I always end up buying another Aten.

This KVM doesn't disappoint. Are you stuck working from home? Do you have a sweet home computer with multiple DisplayPort monitors? Do you want to be able to use that same setup with a work computer or laptop? If you answered yes to those questions, this is the KVM for you.

I bought this for my wife so she can use her dual monitor setup with work and home computers. She love s it. I have the 4 port version for myself, since I have a couple other computers to manage.


Simply put, these KVMs just work.

[Metal housing] We have five of these that date back to 2013 or older. They are pretty much all still in working order after years of daily use. A few times we needed to replace cables due to wear and tear, but that's expected. I have bought some competitors DVI KVMs that stopped working within 0-3 years. Guess I'm sticking with IOGEAR :)

[1x DC Jack] I use my KVM to link 3 Mac minis and it works beautifully. It's small and very easy to use and hook up.

[4 ea] Connection took few minutes - there are lots of cables to be rearranged. After this no issues at all. Image quality on the screen (1680x1050) from standard PC and Dell E6400 laptop are fantastic. For unknown reason the laptop did not recognize the USB gear immediately, but after reboot (living it alone alive at the switch) everything got fixed. Video camera works great connected to the back of the switch, phone jack connected to Line Out on the front panel will cut off sound from the speakers, living it only to whatever is connected to the Line Out jack. I tested the front panel USB with stick drive and RCI to USB converter - works fantastic. Highly recommend this to professionals and amateurs! It is expensive, but it deserves the money!

[4 ea] Unlike many KVMs, this thing actually does what it says it can. I'm running two 4K monitors at 60Hz with absolutely no stability issues between a Mac and an Ubuntu machine. Will definitely go for another ATEN box if my needs change.

[Metal housing] Great KVM switch, easy to install and works perfectly. Had to go with this model because previous model (IOGEAR GCS922U) does not have the EDID feature to keep a monitor alive when switching to another PC. Highly recommend this KVM switch for those who need DVI/USB/Audio interface switching. Works seamlessly with wireless keyboard & mouse.

[4 ea] Purchased this recently to consolidate desk space between work and personal PCs to share the same monitors. Very easy to setup and use. Initially there were some minor quirks when switching computers, such as one monitor not being recognized, but that seems to have gone away now, perhaps due to updated drivers, settings, etc.

[1x DC Jack] I'm running 3 computers on this KVM switch. Function is a breeze. I like the option of audio follows/audio doesn't follow-when you switch around systems. Build is solid, this box is worth the money.
