The ATEN 8-Port VGA Switch with Auto Switchingfrom ATEN 8-Port VGA Switch with Auto Switchingconnects eight audio/video source notebooks to a single monitor or projector with full audio. It enables you to quickly switch between devices for presentation occasions where multiple audio/video playing are simultaneously required, such as meeting rooms, media centers, class rooms, and more.

The VS0801A has a built-in bi-directional RS-232 serial port for high-end system control and advanced RS-232 control. The ability to use high-end serial control devices via RS-232 commands allows the VS0801A to be controlled by secondary systems with advanced functions such as Power on Detection, Auto Switching, and Pushbutton Lock. The IR remote control, convenient front panel pushbuttons, and new port switching VGA cable allow you to toggle between VGA/Audio sources, while the front panel LEDs indicate the source device at a glance.

A: Yes, you should have no issues using a PC and Mac with this KVM.

Q: 6. Will this work with a streamdeck?

A: The ATEN 4x4 4K UHD HDMI Matrix Switch would not be compatible with an Elgato Streamdeck as the switch is only controllable via RS-232.

Q: 7. Will this extend to two different screens on a mac or will both displays show the same screen?

A: It is always recommended to use a thunderbolt display adapter for a mac, however, this Rocstor USB Type-C to HDMI and VGA Dual Port Adapter will display 2 separate screens in MacOS, not mirrors.

Q: 8. When switching computers does the signal stay active? (in other words - does window arrangement stay the same or change when switching?)

A: Yes, the ATEN CS1964 4-Port 4K Triple Display KVMP Switch will keep the signal active so that there is no window reformatting when switching between computers.

Q: 9. Are those ethernet ports to transmit out?

A: Yes. This send out the signal over Cat5,Cat6 or Cat7 cables.

Q: 10. Is HDR10 going to work running through this KVM?

A: There is no indication from Aten's own documentation (website, datasheet, and user manual) that HDR10 is supported.

[75 ohms] Purchased this recently to consolidate desk space between work and personal PCs to share the same monitors. Very easy to setup and use. Initially there were some minor quirks when switching computers, such as one monitor not being recognized, but that seems to have gone away now, perhaps due to updated drivers, settings, etc. 5

[4.6 lb (2.1 kg)] Very well made, handy wired single button remote for switching between machines, plenty of power for USB devices. I'm using this switch to share my devices between my PC and Mac at my desk. I simply switch inputs on my monitor and press the super handy remote button included with this unit and all my devices are switched over. I had worried about how my audio interface would handle being switched between a Mac and a PC, but so far it has worked perfectly with my Scarlett 2i2. 5

[5.3 VDC, 1.01 W] I put a mixer audio (3.5) and a broadcast audio (3.5) into the Sescom SES-TRRS-AB in order to get switchable channels into my headphones and this unit works well with NO hum. I previously has a cheaper system with the same connections but it had a hum. No hum in my headphones was worth the cost. Thus the 5 stars. 5

[5.3 VDC, 1.01 W] I have used Aten KVMs for years. Whenever I am looking for one for another purpose or to match upgraded equipment, I always end up buying another Aten. This KVM doesn't disappoint. Are you stuck working from home? Do you have a sweet home computer with multiple DisplayPort monitors? Do you want to be able to use that same setup with a work computer or laptop? If you answered yes to those questions, this is the KVM for you. I bought this for my wife so she can use her dual monitor setup with work and home computers. She love s it. I have the 4 port version for myself, since I have a couple other computers to manage. Simply put, these KVMs just work. 5
