The black Kramer WP-571 HDMI Wall Plate Transmitter Blackfrom Kramer is a DGKat twisted pair transmitter for HDMI signals. The WP-571 converts an HDMI signal to a twisted pair signal and transmits it to a WP-572 (not included), which converts the twisted pair signal back to an HDMI signal. The transmitter supports a maximum data rate of up to 4.95 Gb/s. DGKat twisted technology converts TMDS as well as control and communication to signals that run over twisted pair cables. EDID PassThru passes EDID signals between the source and display. A single connection to the transmitter powers the receiver.

Q: 2. What is the default EDID resolution?

A: The VM-2HXLs EDID Native resolution is 1280x720p at 60hz.

Q: 3. Would i need the receiver if i have a device that supports HDBT?

A: No, the Kramer PT-571 HDMI over Twisted Pair Transmitter will allow you to output HDBT signals directly to the device you are using that has HDBT input. You do not need a receiver.

Q: 4. is the extender IP based? is it able to be fed through a switch in its own VLAN? or does it have to be a direct connection on both ends?

A: My assumption is that it would need to be a direct connection. I have not tried it on a vlan. Based on the information on their site, it would need to be directly connected, as it seems to encode the signal and send it over the copper to be decoded at the other end by the receiver.

Q: 5. I will be connecting (soldering) this wall mic to a mic cord and was wondering which wires are positive/negative and the same for microphone cable?

A: There are two wires on the back of the mic. The blue wire is positive (+) and the black wire is negative (-). Wiring instructions should be included with the microphone. For further information, you can reach technical support at Telex by phone at 800-898-6723.

A: Yes, the Kramer 4K60 HDMI-over-HDBaseT 1-Gang Wall Plate Transmitter with PoE/RS-232/IR (White/Black) would be compatible with other HDBaseT (HDBT) receivers like the Digitalinx HDMI, IR, RS-232, & Ethernet Extender Kit over CATx with Power Supply (330'), B&H # DIDLHDE100.

Q: 8. What type of power supply is shipped with the device? Is is a normal DC wall pack, or is it the PS-1202?

A: It is a wall-wart style DC power adapter.

Q: 9. What is the max length of hdmi input cable for this aten ve806t?we tried using 5m hdmi but flickering happens

A: This unit can support up to 40m of cable for 1080p resolutions. If you're seeing flickering, we'd recommend slowly changing the EQ dial on the receiver side and see if a different number works better.ATEN Support

Q: 10. Is there any audio delay or sync issues with audio and video?

A: There should be no audio delay or sync issues with this unit. It also will have a very low latency.

[1 lb] These little pico tools from Kramer are an excellent solution at a good price point. Using these with 572 receivers and a Kramer 2x4 HDMI distro on the front end to send presentations to three screens over 100' of qualified (Kramer uniKat) CAT6 cable. It just works. No latency, no glitching, no resolution limits up to and including 1920 x 1080. Rack amount accessories make for a clean, manageable installation. The 572 receivers get power over ethernet, so no wall wart required at the receiver end. 5

[1 lb] This product works GREAT! This was a relatively short run (30') so Cat 5e worked just fine. Both devices powered from one end (Input TX) with this install. They were available, affordable and easy to install. The Power Supply is an inline DC supply, not a plug-in wall wart. This has been my go to HDMI extender kit. Kramer devices always works. 5

[1 lb] I bought this to replace a dying switch. It is everything I hoped it would be. It solved three separate troubles we had with power switching on end devices. Device on or off caused Mac to loose its display config. The switch blocks the signal with EDID. Will definitely consider Kramer for future needs. 5
