Mount accessories top of your Cine.1 matte box with Chrosziel's Top Accessory Bar. The bar itself slots in at the top of the Cine.1 matte box and provides 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tapped holes to mount articulating arms or other accessories. The top of the bar includes a sliding accessory mounting thread for attaching distance measurement equipment.

A: This Chrosziel kit is made for the Blackmagic 2.5 and 4k Cinema Cameras, it will not work with the C300. However Chrosziel does have some kits with a matte box for the C300 and you could add a variety of different follow focus systems to that rig.

A: The top mounts are made of metal and plastic and will hold your setup with ease.

Q: 4. When this bar is mounted to a set of tripod legs and the screw holding them together is tightened down, can the bar be "spun" to different positions or is it affixed tightly to the legs (cannot be rotated)?

A: No, you would need to attach a pano base or a tripod head in between the bar and the tripod legs.

Q: 5. Can I use one of these vertically on the side (If I had two) so it would be like a vertically adjustable column?

A: Assuming you have a special reason for doing this, you can attach one vertically. The weight of anything you put on it would have to be balanced from the other side though for the horizontal piece to slide without binding as well as to keep it from falling.

Q: 6. I hv 2 cameras, one fixed, one to pan; will I need tripod head for ea camera+tripod head to attach bar to tripod, tot 3 heads?

A: The 2 top mounts on the Oben TAB-4M Four-Mount Tripod Accessory Bar have 1/4"-20 screws. You can screw your cameras directly on these mounts; however, we recommend adding a tripod head or a quick release system for better articulation and a quick release option. The base mount of the Oben TAB-4M Four-Mount Tripod Accessory Bar has a 3/8"-16; therefore, you can connect directly to the tripod base mount.

A: Generally, there is a lag time from when a new camera is released and when 3rd party manufacturers can release corresponding products that match. At this time, Chroszeil has not listed a kit specifically for the Blackmagic Mini. So while I would say that the Chrosziel 450-R2 Matte Box and Follow Focus Kit for Blackmagic Cinema Camera & Production Camera 4K probably will work for the Mini, I cannot say that it will work without issue. My concern is will the base be the right height since the matte box is not height adjustable. We will not know for sure until Chroszeil has an opportunity to test the arrangement.

Q: 9. Can this be adjusted up and down from the rails to centre the lens?

A: No, The Chrosziel MB 450W Super Wide Matte Box 15mm rod mount does not offer height adjustment. The Mattebox uses the worldwide industry standard for Rod mounting.

Q: 10. Can additional filter stages/trays be added? what about a 138 retaining ring?

A: No, the Chrosziel MB 450W Super Wide Matte Box can only support two filter trays and it is not compatible with 138 retaining rings.

[0.1 lb] The 8 mounting bar gives me enough space to attach 2-3 items on it. I usually use it to mount a mic and an led light for on the run video work. It is solid and would recommend it. 5

[0.1 lb] I needed a matte box that was lighter than the RedRock unit, for handheld work. This was suggested to me to be the lightest one available that still had two full filter holders. It's design is really solid and it is well made. The donut solution is the best I've seen as well. Also the french flag / eyebrow folds in half to make it easier to pack and travel with. I'd buy this again if I ever needed a second one. 5

[0.1 lb] I purchased the 203 version of this follow focus (one generation back) secondhand and immediately I noticed the modern design and solid quality. The thing that sets a professional follow focus apart from the lesser expensive versions is the machining tolerances. Chrosziel manufactures this unit with very low tolerances meaning there are no gaps or wiggle room where there shouldn't be. The gearing mechanism is smooth and performs as expected. The marking discs click into place with a satisfying snap. The knob handle is large enough to firmly grab onto but not overbearingly large. It has a slim profile and fits well into cases etc. Don't skimp on getting a cheap follow focus, it's an integral part of what makes a movie, focus! 5
