The completely modular Chrosziel Cine.1 Clamp-On Matte Boxfrom Chrosziel Cine.1 Clamp-On Matte Boxis built to be strong yet lightweight to fit into your handheld or studio camera rig. Having a matte box on the front of your lens allows you more flexilbility in lighting your scene by blocking light sources just out of frame from directly entering the lens, which can cause the lens to flare, and introduce image artifacts. This particular iteration of the Cine.1 series can be mounted directly on the lens with the integrated clamp, and is configured with a single filter stage, with the capability to hold a maximum of three filters by adding separately available filter stages.

A top flag (also called an eyebrow) is included to block extraneous light from above. The flag folds in half for a smaller footprint when it's packed away. As an added touch, the flag has security holes which mate with safety latches on the matte box, preventing the flag from accidentally falling during installation.

The Cine.1 matte box housing is constructed from high-impact polymer blend. This material is very rigid and resistant to cracking, yet keeps the weight of the matte box down as to not unbalance your rig. The surround is constructed from aluminum

Using the multiple threaded mounting points, accessories such as side flags, rosettes, a filter catcher, and a top accessory plate, can be attached to expand the functionality of the Cine.1 matte box.

A: The Tilta 55mm Adapter Ring for Mini Clamp-On Matte Box would not be compatible with the SmallRig Mini Matte Box. The 55mm adapter ring in the SmallRig Matte Box Adapter Ring Kit for Mini Matte Box (52/55/58/62/86-95mm) BH #SM3383 kit would have the recommended 55mm ring.

Q: 2. Is there a baseplate and rods that come with this? If not, which ones would work for this matte box with the USA mini?

A: This product does not include a baseplate or rods, however we do have a nice assortment of options to choose from. The Pyro AV URSA Mini Kit (B&H #PY0623) and Wooden Camera Blackmagic URSA Mini Unified Accessory Kit (B&H #WO226300) are nice solutions that offer a baseplate, rods and even a top handle. Or you could look at the Shoulder-Mount Kit for the URSA Mini (B&H #BLURSAMSK) and adding some 15mm rods to it (B&H #IKELE15R12).

A: no this will NOT work on the Tilta MB-T04 matte box

A: Yes the IRIX Cine Matte box is designed to work with in the IRIX magnetic filter ecosystem. You can use the Irix MMS Magnetic Filters on any lens with the Irix Matte Box IQ and available adapters. That is why IRIX created the Irix Matte Box IQ. To let you attach and remove filters as quickly as possible. With the Irix Matte Box IQ, the Magnetic Mount (MMS) has been moved from the lens to the Matte Box, so you can enjoy all the benefits of Irix filters, no matter which lens is your favorite.

A: No, the Tilta Mirage Matte Box has a 95mm opening and would need a 95mm adapter ring to fit properly. [150 mm Clamp] Having serval older Canon FD lenses that are 58mm, this high quality adapter ring is a welcome size to use my wonderful Tilta mini matte box with. The ring is 100%, the Matt box itself is great, but maybe could have made the filter slot a little wider as my Tiffen 1/4 Black Mist Pro has to be pushed in firmly to fit inside. Also, a second filter slot would have been nice, but overall, thrilled with this value based, but high quality system. 5

[150 mm Clamp] These let me mount the Mini Matte Box on Panasonic 12-35 and 35-100 which have 58mm filter rings. I mount this adapter to the lens, then a UV filter to this. 5

[150 mm Clamp] I purchased the 203 version of this follow focus (one generation back) secondhand and immediately I noticed the modern design and solid quality. The thing that sets a professional follow focus apart from the lesser expensive versions is the machining tolerances. Chrosziel manufactures this unit with very low tolerances meaning there are no gaps or wiggle room where there shouldn't be. The gearing mechanism is smooth and performs as expected. The marking discs click into place with a satisfying snap. The knob handle is large enough to firmly grab onto but not overbearingly large. It has a slim profile and fits well into cases etc. Don't skimp on getting a cheap follow focus, it's an integral part of what makes a movie, focus! 5
