The VC060 DVI EDID Emulator from ATEN is designed to emulate and store the EDID of a video display, providing constant and reliable EDID data for the DVI source device to efficiently optimize video resolution.

The ATEN DVI EDID Emulator is a convenient tool that ensures smooth viewing experience for any video installation. Q: 1. will it solve a MacBook m1 handshake issue with LG TVs ??

A: The HDfury Dr. HDMI EDID Manager / Detective is made to solve HDMI source to display issues. It should do what you wish.

Q: 2. If I plug this in line of my projector will it prevent the projector from seeing a loss of connection when switching inputs on a switcher?

A: There's a very good chance that this will work for you if your projector is EDID compliant. But HDMI switching is rarely seamless.

Q: 3. Can the GCE-3 be used without the computer? Will it retain "patches" so it can be used "live" without a computer or is this merely a hardware controller for guitar lab?

A: The GCE-3 is capable of internally storing one patch for use without a computer.

Q: 4. I have an Xfinity cable box connected to a Sony H800x tv that is connected to a Sonos Arc. I have a lip synch issue and cannot get it corrected. I spent a lot of time with Sony and Sonos but nothing worked. Will this device solve the problem? Does the device require power?

A: This does not solve syncing issues.

Q: 5. I have a DVI-D PC monitor. When I use an HDMI to DVI cable, audio is not passed because the monitor's EDID tells the device it does not support audio. Can I use this to force audio to my monitor? Maybe spoof the input device to think its a regular HDMI monitor so it passes audio. I need to pass audio because I'd like to use an HDMI audio extractor in between.

A: As others have said, DVI doesn't support audio output. This will not work for you unfortunately.

Q: 6. Will this emulate 2560x1440?

A: absolutely

Q: 7. Does it solve hdcp handshake problem?

A: This product does support HDCP as well. We are not aware of the specific problem you are facing, but that does support HDCP.

Q: 8. I have Xfinity cable box connected to a Sony H800x tv with eArc that is connected to a Sonos Arc. I am having lip synch problems and talked to Sony and Sonos however we were not able to fix it. Will this device correct the lip synch problem? Is the device powered?

A: We are not aware of this being able to correct sync issues.

Q: 9. i assume this will work if i have a single mac mini server in the rack? just hook up hdmi and keyboard mouse usb ports from unit to the mac? all should work? thanks!

A: Yes, you can connect the ATEN CL6700MW DVI Full HD LCD Console to a Mac mini via an HDMI cable.

Q: 10. Is there a way of editing the EDID emulation, including the ID text that shows up on the source?

[5 VDC; 0.15 W] In production for about a week now, no real issues. We're running without EDID so there wasn't any need to program these, I can't speak to that functionality, but as a straight fibre extender they work well. 5

[0.85 lb] Simple, reliable, and solid. I havent used the audio piece but everything else has been perfect. It would help if this could use one cable between transmitter and receiver but it has worked great as it is. 5

[5 VDC; 0.15 W] This little device solved some problems in our professional environment in a matter of seconds. One of them was connecting any macbook to digital video switcher via HDMI. It can effectively filter HDCP in video signal thus making it compatible with any video switcher. Our particualr switcher in question is Sony MCS-8M. 5

[5 VDC; 0.15 W] This is the exact unit we needed. We had a MacBook pro connecting to an inexpensive 4x2 matrix. One output to a Samsung TV. One output to a BenQ projector. It would not give us a clear signal at the projector, if it gave us a signal at all. With this unit, we were able to fake the laptop into believing it was only connected to the BenQ projector. Problem solved! Worked like a charm. Highly recommended! 5

[0.85 lb] I had an old GEFEN Detectiv HDMI since 2007 as component in my Media Center environement. After it has met its end of life I ordered the new one. It works as ecpected. For me it's unbelievable using a MCE without the GEFEN because of the often losing of HDMI signals. 5
