The ATEN VE172R A/V Over Cat 5 Receiveris compatible with ATEN MDS Standard Plus Solution (VS1204T/VS1208T, VE170T/VE170R/VE170RQ. It can cascade up to 10 levels make long distance transmissions up to 500' (150m).

It can accept and send both Analog and Digital (AES/EBU, DMX. Etc) signals in the same CAT5/6/7 Ethernet cable.

A: According to the manufacturer, there is network control on the LAN connection.
