The VE801 HDMI HDBaseT-Lite Extender set from ATEN extends an HDBaseT signal up to 230 feet from the HDBaseT source using one Cat 5e/6/6a cable. It supports HDMI features that include 3D, Deep Color and 4K image resolutions, plus Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS HD audio, and it is HDCP compatible. The VE801 all-in-one design provides an easy method for mounting the device in almost any location. The side panel provides slip-resistant grooves that help prevent accidental drops when installing the unit. The grooves also enhance the ability to see the LED status lights. The VE801 is suitable for digital entertainment centers or almost any installation that requires superior HDMI video quality to be extended for great distances. The VE801 is an HDBaseT Class B compatible device.

A: From the manufacturer. Regarding the latency for the HDM-C6IP-SET THE C6IP SET is an hdmi over IP Solution (minimal latency expected) Latency refers to a short period of delay (usually measured in milliseconds) between when a signal enters a system and when it emerges.

A: The Comprehensive Pro AV/IT HDBaseT 4K60 18G HDMI Extender Kit does not include any international adapters but the included power adapter is compatible with 100-240V power and so can be used with a converter plug to power the unit.

Q: 9. Are there supposed to be 2 power supplies? One for the transmitter, one for the receiver?

A: No. Only one power supply is included since the units support 48V power-over-HDBaseT (PoH), allowing one unit to be powered by the other.

Q: 10. Can you tell me if the protocol remains between Tx and rx. Eg if I insert 1080i hdmi at the Tx, will it arrive at the hdmi out on the receiver end as 1080i ?

A: Yes, if you are sending a 1080i signal it should arrive at the output end as the same. That is what we are sending to our outputs and the quality on the monitors is indeed the same as we sent. I will caution you, however, if you are sending the signal 200 feet or more, be aware that you may experience occasional signal loss when powering up. We have found that if we turn the extender off and then back on it will usually pick the further outputs up after a try or two.

[1.75 lb] The StarTech device worked great from the time we plugged it in. Since it only needs power at one end (and either end works), it was easy to install and is flexible. Liked it so much that we are replacing another extender of a different brand. 5

[1.75 lb] B&H was our choice when we replaced our video camera and peripherals in our worship center recently. Our experience in getting approved for and creating a tax exempt account via their website was a very efficient process as well. We are located in PA and they are in NY. We ordered via their website, in early December (!), and received the order within 2 days. The 7 pieces of electronic equipment were very well packed and arrived in perfect condition. [1.75 lb] I often like to show family members videos and pictures of our vacation and the kids from the computer on the TV. We also like to watch a lot of streamed content as well. My TV is not a smart TV so I can't stream content to it from my computer. I often have to copy everything to a USB stick and plug that into my TV. This eliminates that by being able to hook my computer from across the room to my TV as a monitor and watch media content on my TV from my computer without having to move it. Picture is clear without any degradation. The two units are small enough to tuck away out of sight. Did what I needed it to do. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. 5

[1.75 lb] I was tasked with having users mirror their laptop on a tv (after the built was complete) without software and I have found the answer. A facility had just finished a renovation and the tv was mounted, power was installed and network drops were in place but no thought had gone into how to utilize the boardroom to its full potential. After much discussion with endusers and management the most cost effective way would be to use an HDMI extender without any software installation required (since most laptops are locked down these days). With cables plugged in (HDMI and CAT5/6) all is left for the user to do is to plug in HDMI to their laptop and we now have the laptop screen on the tv. Another great product from Startech.com. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. 5

[Metal] We tested the device over 100’ of cable with great results. The picture quality appears to be flawless and the fact that it only requires power on one end is definitely plus. Highly recommended! The small converters on each end are easy to hide and it was a simple install. 5
