The 1800EP 18 ft Reach Telescoping Extension Ladder from Telesteps is a slim, yet sturdy ladder that can extend 14.5', giving the user a reachable height of up to 18'. It can support anyone up to 300 lb. The ladder is made out of lightweight, yet high-quality aluminum and contracts to a height of 34" when not in use. It's easy to use, carry, and store, with a patented one-touch release mechanism for unleashing the ladder's full height. Adjustable silicone feet keep the ladder sturdy, and safety indicator windows tell you when it's safe to climb. The ladder is OSHA compliant and ANSI 14.2 tested.

Q: 1. Can you use this ladder as a ramp to pull containers into the attic and lower them down?

A: The Telesteps Loft Ladder is not designed to be used as a ramp. It should only be used as a ladder.

Q: 2. How do you access the ladder when it is folded and closed in the ceiling?

A: According to the Telesteps Loft Ladder's instruction manual on pages 3-4, once the ladder is properly installed and the ladder frame assembly has been secured to the ceiling joist and door, you simply pull down on the door slowly with the pull down cord to bring the ladder down to use. The attic/loft ladder will be ready for use one the door has been fully opened. You would open the attic/loft ladder by gripping the tubes with both hands and lifting it off the retainer hook and allowing it to open and descend to the floor. There are windows on each side of the rungs/step of the ladder. Once the locking indicator windows turn from red to green when the ladder descends, that will indicate that the sections of the ladder are locked and the ladder is safe to use.

Q: 3. Would this hold a Aputure LS1S Light?

A: Yes

Q: 4. This mount comes with 2 attachments. One is obviously the scissor mount for use with a drop ceiling, but what is the other accessory for?

A: From the manufacturer. I checked into this and was told that there is a loop on the safety cable that goes over the scissor mount stud. The safety cable is then secured to the stud by the item on the left.

Q: 5. Do you think it could mount a Logitech webcam? (C920 to be exact)

A: The Smith-Victor Ceiling Mount with 5.0' Telescoping Extension states it includes a 3/8 stud, while the Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam indicates it has a standard female 1/4 -20 tripod thread. The Novatron Adapter - 3/8 Female to 1/4-20 Male, B&H # NOA38.2520, would be the required adapter to connect the Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam to the Smith-Victor Ceiling Mount.

Q: 6. I have a 1600 telestep, is 1600E the same?

A: Yes, they are the same.

Q: 7. Will these work on 1600 ET?

A: These replacement feet are compatible with the 1600ET.

Q: 8. Do you have installation instruction or video? I need have to lofts side by side which I need something portable.

Q: 9. Do you have a replacement part that is compatible with a 1205 model?

A: I tried them for the 1600 model (round tubes) and they didn't fit. The 1800 has oval tubes.

Q: 10. Can this be used as an extension to an existing fire escape?

A: We would not recommend that. For information regarding how to safely extend your fire escape ladder please contact your landlord or local fire station.

[31.5 lb] I needed a ladder that could tuck away for a smaller opening into an overhead storage space. This worked perfectly, of course more expensive than a typical attic ladder that required a bigger opening, but considerably cheaper than some of the other options. It's sturdy and hefty, but the aluminum material makes it still light enough to manage. I feel safe when using it. Only issue is I wish the instructions were more concise and clearer. The images and text can get a bit confusing, and their videos online don't explain the entire installation, just the mounting process. Nevertheless, I'd still recommend and would buy it again if needed. 5

[31.5 lb] This little stepladder seems well-made. The hinges move with some resistance and the lock is positive. The platform created by the two halves is ample. It weighs next to nothing, takes up little space, and is solid. Don't underestimate how short 1' is. It's really short. If you're hoping to reach lights up on 10' stands, you might be better off with one of those little 2' Werner ladders or even a 4'. I chose this one for portability. 5

[31.5 lb] It's really lightweight and can hold my weight with no problems.The one foot height gives me the extra height as needed and it's very useful around the house as well. 5
