A: Spoke with handy man he said you need about 6 feet to open and pull out and have enough room to carry anything up

A: I tried them for the 1600 model (round tubes) and they didn't fit. The 1800 has oval tubes.

A: The Telesteps Loft Ladder is not designed to be used as a ramp. It should only be used as a ladder.

Q: 4. Do you begin extending the ladder from the bottom wrung?

A: Yes. The following unit rises from the bottom to the top.

Q: 5. How do you access the ladder when it is folded and closed in the ceiling?

A: According to the Telesteps Loft Ladder's instruction manual on pages 3-4, once the ladder is properly installed and the ladder frame assembly has been secured to the ceiling joist and door, you simply pull down on the door slowly with the pull down cord to bring the ladder down to use. The attic/loft ladder will be ready for use one the door has been fully opened. You would open the attic/loft ladder by gripping the tubes with both hands and lifting it off the retainer hook and allowing it to open and descend to the floor. There are windows on each side of the rungs/step of the ladder. Once the locking indicator windows turn from red to green when the ladder descends, that will indicate that the sections of the ladder are locked and the ladder is safe to use.

Q: 6. What is the over all width of this ladder?

A: it is 22 inches

Q: 7. Elsewhere, when I look at the Telesteps 12es, I see on the pictures that it has 8 steps on one side and 6 steps on the other. Yours on the picture shows 7 and 5. Can you confirm the number of steps of the actual ladder that you ship?

A: The photo is not correct. It does have 8 steps that can be used on one side.

Q: 8. Will these work with telesteps 1600ep?

A: Yes the Telesteps 1600E Ladder Replacement Feet (Pair), B&H # TEF1600E, would be compatible for use with the Telesteps 1600EP 16 ft Reach Telescoping Extension Ladder. The Telesteps 1600E Ladder Replacement Feet (Pair) would be compatible for use with the 1600E, 1600EP, and 1600ET ladders only.

Q: 9. How/where do you mount these if micing a grand piano?

A: While there are many ways to mic a grand piano, the most straight forward approach would be to place each of these on boom mic stands, and place one over the bass portion of strings, and the other over the treble portion. Please make sure the distance from string to capsule are the same for each mic, and that if above the strings at 1', the mics are separated by 3' of space.

Q: 10. what size must the opening be?

A: According to the user manual for this ladder, it is suitable for loft openings as small as 520 x 600mm (20.4 in x 23.6 in)

[Rubber] I have an older Model 1205 and the original feet had disintegrated. Purchased these in the hopes that I could continue using the ladder and they fit perfectly and should give me many more years of use. 5

[Rubber] Product delivered very quickly. Decent price. Fit perfectly. Just don't know how long it will last. Telesteps should provide a longer lasting better engineered foot/feet for this model of ladder. Some newer versions of this ladder do have better replacements. 5
