We are still using Sony DSR 300 and Sony DSR 270 which is great for us. The church has a wall plate and on that plate is audio and video connector. The video connector looks like it a BNC but it is HDMI. Is there anyway I can get the cameras to show on the monitor?

A: No, this is not compatible. It does have a BNC connection but it is an SDI output via a BNC connector. You should opt instead for B&H#: OCOMXCVHDMI with B&H # PEABNCRC1.

Q: 6. Does this Product support SMPTE Level A & Level B? Read PDF Manual & Specs. No mention of either.

A: The converters work in 3G Level A only.

Q: 7. Will this Converter convert HDMI 1080p60 to SDI 1080i60?

A: I'm afraid not. This is a converter only, meaning it will only change the signal from HDMI to SDI. It does not do frame rate and resolution conversions as well. Q: 8. How many frames of delay is there to the output of the SDI? I'm interested to see if this camera would work in a live production environment for IMAG.

A: The Z CAM E2 cameras have several frames of latency on the output that would unfortunately also pass to the Z CAM HDMI to SDI Converter.

Q: 9. Lumantek Youtube video mentions using batteries. Does anyone make a small battery bracket that would work well with this device?

A: Unfortunately we do not carry any battery brackets for the Lumantek SDI to HDMI Converter with Display and Scaler at this time.

Q: 10. Will this work on cameras other than the z-cam? Or is it proprietary?

A: This is for Z-Cam only.

[Metal] I got this test long SDI runs for signal which so far does a great job at. Dip switches in the back to change settings. Being a Converter and scaler that I can use in a pinch is a bonus. 5

[10.2 oz (290 g)] I own a couple of these and they are great devices overall. Along with the conversion I also use them as kind of a kick cable tester. The signal strength indicator often clues me in on whether or not my cable has some kind of problem. Someone else here said the converter can not do 1080p60 but I am using it with that resolution all the time out of a Roland VR-50HDMKII video switcher. Never had a problem with any output resolution. One big note on this converter. It can ONLY do 3G-SDI Level A. It does not work with Level B. Otherwise these units have been no problem at all in the field. Someone else came up with the idea to put a little plexiglass cover on the top to protect the built in monitor. I thought that was a great idea and have done that for my units. 5

[2.97 Gb/s] Being able to send an SDI signal out of the Zcam means a step up in quality and reliability. I cringe every time I have to insert or remove an HDMI cable from my camera, hoping I'm not causing any damage to the interface. With this unit I am less worried about accidentally knocking the cable out and really doing some damage. The Zcam probably should have come with an SDI interface but now you can have one at a good price. 5

[10.2 oz (290 g)] You just plug it in and it works. The best thing is you still retain and HDMI out while adding SDI out. Great for getting video to two separate devices. 5
