The one control midi switcheris a recording indicator is designed for anybody working in project, dubbing, or post production studios who needs visual confirmation of when a recording begins or ends. This simple, precise, and easy-to-use device is ideal for musicians and sound engineers as well as film, TV, and video editors.

The PunchLight MIDI uses MIDI data transmitted by Pro Tools or another DAW. It also has a 'record-ready' mode which is useful for actors in a dubbing studio and for larger groups of musicians. The device has its own visual signaling system as well as an ability to control any signaling systems already installed in your studio.

The PunchLight Midi is a switcher interface to connect up to three of the light units such as the PunchLight RECORDING Display, RECORDING PlexSign, RECORDING Ring, or RECORDING Lamp (sold separately). This box connects to any MIDI interface. It works in Pro Tools or in Cubase, Nuendo, Logic Pro, Samplitude and Digital Performer. A 12V power supply unit is included.

[7 x 4.8 x 2.8"] I like this MIDI controller. It is unique and has capabilities not found with regular pitch wheel type actions. Great for synth sounds but also can be very expressive when playing modeled acoustic instruments. 5

[0.9 lb] The monitor switch does EXACTLY what I need it to do. Even with different monitor settings, the switching is smooth and quick. And the little remote makes switching even easier. 5

[7 x 4.8 x 2.8"] I was looking at this as well as a Role and decided to go with this instead. I'm used to standard-sized keys and playing in standard positions. I can do everything the Role can do (IMO) without having to learn a new way to play. The only hiccup was in setup. I downloaded the files but I couldn't get it working in Logic using their software. I downloaded the full version of Falcon, thinking that that would help, but it didn't. Eventually, I found a tutorial on YouTube and got it working. I don't mind having the full version of Falcon either. Looking forward to making beautiful, expressive music. 5

[0.9 lb] Nice and small, so easy to tuck out of the way. The inputs in the back and output on the side (right side looking at it from the front) are easy to cable manage. Automatically switches to the active input if only one input is active. 5

[7 x 4.8 x 2.8"] If you own the Mackie MCU Pro this is a no brainer!!! It’s expensive but it adds immediate value to your tracking and mixing capabilities. The only reason why I don’t own two of them is because I need the spare midi ports to plug up my MPC 2000XL and Nord Stage 3 into my MCU Pro! Do yourself a big favor and purchase one if you are on the fence. Once you get one you will immediately be glad that you did. 5
