This black 23 x 31 x 3" Lineco Drop-Front Archival Box - 23x31x3" Blackfrom Lineco Drop-Front Archival Box - 23x31x3" Blackis used by photographers, artists, and archivists for storing and protecting photographs, flat art, and other important documents.

The archival box is made from a 60-point board, which is acid- and lignin-free, making the box suitable for long-term storage. Acid levels are lowered because the board is buffered and does not transfer any contamination to the contents. Each corner of the lid and box has a metal edge for added strength and durability, which is ideal for stacking boxes on top of each other. Once the lid is removed, the box's drop-front lowers to reveal a white interior, that allows easy access without any damage to the contents.

A: The interior of the Lineco Drop-Front Archival Box (11.5 x 15 x 3", Blue/Gray) is height three inches. So as for how many it can fit really depends on the thickness of the paper and matte board you are using.

A: This is not weather proof or resistant so it is not recommended to store in an outdoor shed.

A: Hello Richard. I took a ruler to one of my boxes and it measured 9.5 x 12.5 x 3 , which happen to be the quoted dimensions of the box. Either the manufacturer is measuring the interior or the thin sides subtract no appreciable volume. I even sliced a piece of spare mat board to those dimensions and placed it in the bottom of the box to be sure. Even though the box is very thin it is extremely rigid. It's a well made box.

A: Sorry. It will not.

A: Around 250

Q: 6. how does the drop front stay closed? is it magnetic? or is it always down when the lid is off?

A: The lid holds the drop side closed. When the lid is off, the drop side falls down about halfway so you can access the prints more easily.

[22 x 30"] great box for photos, both matted and raw (separated with archival tissue). will only get them from B&H since other places (such as Amazon) do not properly pack/ship these, and those have arrived damaged. 5

[22 x 30"] This is a sturdy and handy box that comes in many sizes; I chose one that would fit both my documents and my shelfs. It is simple to open and lay documents inside, and get them out without damage, and it should not stiffen up over time like cheaper boxes do. It will be kind to documents. It is easy to label and relabel in the color tan. I will use these archival boxes for a long, long time. 5

[Removable Lid] I have several of these boxes in varying sizes to store a few hundred prints I've had made in recent years. The boxes are very sturdy and the prints fit nicely--not too tight, not too loose. The fold-down flap makes accessing prints on the bottom easy. Good protection for expensive prints, money well spent. 5

[Removable Lid] I ordered this box and another larger size Lineco archival box. It works fine and is a must have for photographers that create high end work. I need to be able to store work and not have to worry about the storage box causing harm to my works. These boxes are acid free so they don't harm my work and offer some protection too. The drop front side, often makes it easier to access your stored work. 5

[22 x 30"] I have purchased several of these in various sizes over the years - mostly for storing photos and family history scrapbooks. This one will be for storage of full sheets of watercolor paper. I no longer have a flat file and plan to keep it under the bed for now. I can always count on BH to send things in a timely manner and without damage. 5
