With a 100% cotton rag base made from a hot press mould, this 50-sheet pack of 8.5 x 11" 18 x 24 smooth construction paperfrom 18 x 24 smooth construction paperoffers photographers and artists a smooth matte surface with a high resolution coating that provides a high D-max and wide color gamut. The 270 gsm paper is naturally white with no optical brightening agents, is acid- and lignin-free in its construction, and is alkaline buffered to increase longevity. Also, it has a thickness of 15 mil and is single-sided. Finally, the medium dries nearly instantly and is water-resistant.

A: They may not have made a profile for the Canon IPF6400 printer. So in that case I would suggest using the closest Canon option. Canon Premium Fine Art Smooth.

Q: 4. What's the life of the images printed?

A: Unfortunately there isn't a specific answer, it depends on how the prints are stored, humidity, light and other factors. But in optimal conditions it would last for years.

Q: 5. does anyone know which profile to use. there are two on the Ilford site n_GPSPP11_EPSpro7890_9890_PGPP250n and n_GPSPP12_EPSpro7890_9890_PGPP250n?

A: For this specific paper which is 310 gsm, you should use the 2nd one which is n_GPSPP12_EPSpro7890_9890_PGPP250n the first one GPSPP11 profile is for the same paper if it's 290 gsm. Ilford has in the past changed weights of papers therefore they have multiple profiles.

Q: 6. Is the finish matte, semi-gloss, gloss or something else? The description doesn't say on B&H or on Canon's website.

A: Premium Fine Art Smooth Photo Paper (13 x 19-, 25 Sheets) is a smooth matte paper.

Q: 7. Is the paper acid fast paper?

A: Ilford Galerie Prestige Smooth Gloss Paper is not a "fine art" paper so it is not acid free.

Q: 8. How many pixels is the camera???

Q: 9. is there anyway to determine the print side? I took it out of the plastic before checking and am not sure if I put it back right

A: Regarding the Canon Premium Fine Art Smooth Photo Paper (8.5 x 11", 25 Sheets), try flipping the top sheet over and comparing the back of the top sheet with the next sheet in the stack. The brighter of the two sides would be the print side.

Q: 10. Is this paper archival?

A: Yes, this is archival grade paper.

[270 gsm] Very nice smooth gloss that works great for much of my nature photography. I wanted a heavy gloss paper that comes close to Fuji crystal archive. This paper fits that need well. Note: after printing with my Epson 3880, I run the print through my other printer using a gloss over from inkjet mall. That really makes the paper sing. 5

[2.45 lb] Having welcomed Ilford photo papers for a good many years, I do not hesitate to continue to make them a part of my photographic pleasures. My recent order from B&H brought me two packs of 4by 6 Galerie sheets I am inserting in two photo albums I am creating for neighbors. I am able to print them here at home. Thank you for giving me a check on the results, still in progress. 5

[2.45 lb] I have used Ilford photography products for 50 plus years. This company was saved by the brave action taken by employees to buy the business and made it successful again. They make superior products to their competitors and have been for many years. This paper is what I prefer when a smooth glossy paper is needed. You won't be disappointed and they provide an ICC profile for many oif the name brand printers model. 5

[Single] I know everyone prefers the more expensive Ilford papers but this paper makes really perfect prints at a better price so I'll keep using it as I continue to learn . 5
