Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The P800 was a nightmare to load from the front. My Moab Entrada Natural Rag 300 gsm paper would always get stuck at the back and not roll up the paper holder. I always had to load from the back and even that became a problem, occasionally getting stopped by the rollers. Has this been solved?

A: Loading heavy media from the front on these printers the P800 & P900 has to be a flat straight pass straight through to the rear of the printer. Make sure the paper is straight with no curls especially when the paper comes off a roll.

Q: 2. Does this printer leave "pizza wheel" marks on glossy papers? This was a problem with every earlier version of the printer. It it doesn't, how has the paper feed mechanism changed?

A: This uses a roller to feed the paper.

Q: 3. Does this print on canvas?

A: Yes, it does.

Q: 4. How does the P900 improve on the P800?

A: #1 The P900 has 10 inks adding the Violet Color to add better Pantone Colors. #2 Making separate print head channels for the Black Inks: Avoiding the issue of switching between the Photo Black & the Matte Black which was time consuming, wasting ink while flushing the head, & caused issues with the black ink system becoming faulty. #3 Much smaller in dimensional size while still handling the same paper sizes as the P800. #4 The P900 inks are only 50 ml compared to the 80 ml of the P800.

Q: 5. Will it print a 16x24 print using something like the a RED River 17x25 inch paper?

A: Yes! Maximum Printable Area: 17" x 129"

Q: 6. Is the Maintenance tank for the P900 the same Maintenance tank as was used for the Epson P800?

A: No! as I've seen on Epson Diagram & the Maintenance Tank looks to be shorter in depth & taller. As of now Epson doesn't supply a part # yet.

Q: 7. What is "wet looking" blacks?

A: Its meant to show a glossy- shiny black. The ink itself is dry but, its a very glossy black

Q: 8. Is it safe to assume that the roll adapter I use on P800 will fit P900?

A: Here is the roll adapter for the P900: https://bhpho.to/3fcMnZR

Q: 9. are these envelopes clear?

A: It is not clear , it is translucent

Q: 10. What about the roll adapter? How much?

A: Here is the roll adapter for the P900: https://bhpho.to/3fcMnZR

[50x Sheet Paper] Setup was straight forward. Still learning some things. Works well with Photoshop for the best print quality.

[Yes] I have had no issues, the roll feed requires a few deep breaths when/if you load it. But nothing more. The prints are great! I use Imageprint rather than Epson software. I really like this printer. 10/10 recommend it.

[Alpha Cellulose] It's a major improvement over my 3800. Smaller, sleeker, quieter, prints quickly (and you can watch it print!), and it works wireless. I've only had it a couple of weeks but I've run a couple of images thru it and they look good. I'm pleased.

[6 lb] I decided it was time to get back into being able to print my photography and decided I would go with the Epson P900 since I have always been happy with Epson.

B&H shipping is fantastic, two days and the printer was here!!

When the unit arrived I had just finished doing my monitor calibration with my new Calibrite Display Plus HL. The installation of the printer was a snap to wireless and my computer, not one problem on my Mackbook Pro M2.

I love the Epson Media Installer that loads both the printer setup files and the associated ICC profiles. The media files take care of internal printer adjustments allowing for everything up to poster paper to print flawlessly and it really works!

Since I use Red River paper I downloaded their media files from them and everything just works. The colors are incredible, the blacks for astrophotography are stunning, and for the first time, I can print on high-quality matte paper and get prints looking like what I want/expect. I print once and have what I expected, no testing required.

What has impressed me is that even with the limited ink supplied with the printer I have yet to run out of ink after doing a fair amount of printing up to 17X22.

The Biggest thing that has impressed me is not one paper feed problem!

[Alpha Cellulose] Formerly, I happily owned the Epson 3800 and the Epson 4880 printers. This is the successor to the 3800 and it is amazing!! Beautiful and a smaller footprint than the others.10 inks. 35 lbs. Easy to carry, set up, operate, and enjoy. I have four friends now who have this printer and love it, too. Plus, there was a $200 rebate! We always buy from B + H as they are the best for pre-sales questions and customer service later, if needed. Delivered the next day, no charge for shipping. Extremely well-packed, too. And, did I mention the printing is fabulous?
