Build a lighting arm to mount onto your underwater housing, tray, or grip with this dyson light ballfrom dyson light ballTechnical Lighting Control line. It includes two short post-style arm sections, each of which has a ball mount with a 1" diameter at one end and a 1/4"-20 stud at the other. A ball-joint clamp for connecting the 2 arm pieces is also supplied. The bottom 1/4"-20 stud connects to a female threaded mount on a housing, tray, or handle. Add one or more extra arm sections to the top stud or attach your focus light directly to this mounting point for an extremely compact system.

The ball's O-ring prevents slipping and enables a better hold with less force when the ball is connected to the ball clamp. Built to last, the clamp and ball are made from aluminum that has been hard anodized and treated with Teflon for resistance to corrosion and other wear and tear.

What is the diameter of the circular top plate on the MTO55CXPRO4, and if smaller that 2.9 , is it possible to have a larger-diameter plate?Thanks! Alain

A: The diameter is approximately 2 inches. The plate cannot be switched out for another.

[9.1 x 5 x 2.1"] I bought this for a very specific, maybe novel purpose, but its design makes it remarkably versatile for a number of applications. I added a 3/8 screw adapter to the top so that I can screw that into one handle of my compact, 5-surface diffuser/reflector. With the CAMVATE, I can now hang the reflector from my light stand and even tilt the reflector bottom out and up somewhat when needed. It's study but light enough to carry right in the reflector case. 5

[0.3 lb] If you got stuck with some cheap versions of these cause you bought one of those digital juice blue bag led sets (the leds die in it too) you will really appreciate how well these are made. Also if you just need to mount a light on a stand and need that swivel, you gotta get these, they are expensive, but worth the price. 5

[9.1 x 5 x 2.1"] Great product and upgraded 055 tripod from Manfrotto. Definitely more compact (yet sturdy) tripod compared to my 9+ years old 055CX3 tripod. Leg locks worked great (better than on the 055CX3). All in all a great outdoor use tripod. 5

[0.3 lb] On a shoot I experienced both using this and cheaper ball head adapters and it's just a world of difference considering how sturdy it is. You do not want to be fiddling when making an adjustments in front of clients. 5
