The canon bp 955 intelligent lithium ion battery packworks with the same cameras as the Samsung BP-1900. This replacement battery pack features a 1900mAh capacity, 7.4V of output power, and 14.06 watt-hours. A: This battery will absolutely work with the XL2 camera, as far as powering it up. It won't communicate battery life to the XL2, but the battery check on the back of the battery will still guide you. I have a couple of XL2's that I built my business up on. I've since moved on to the XF camera's, but can interchange batteries easily. I would highly recommend buying the BP-975 though. [Samsung BP-1900] I love this battery's storage capacity. It also has the convenient test button that lights the battery life in 25% increments. It promises 4 hours of run time. I've yet to run it to zero. 5

[7.4 VDC] I was originally hesistant to buy Canon brand batteries due to the high price tag. They are worth their weight in gold though. They last forever on my C100. I have 2x large batteries and this small one. With all three I'm able to last a full shoot day without any worries about charging batteries. 5

[7.4 VDC] This product is simple but effective. When I first got it, it lasted for over six hours in my C100 MKII. I'm sure it will degrade over time as all batteries do, but I have not noticed any drop off in the 9 months I've had it. 5

[0.23 lb] I am a professional filmmaker, and use my camera in upwards of 14 or 15 hours a day sometimes. I needed a second battery for my C100. This has worked perfect on 2 batteries I have easily been able to make through the days. 5

[7.4 VDC] Not too much to say, these are great batteries. They are a little expensive, but I haven't had ANY luck with the cheaper 3rd party options. So this is worth the money. 5

[0.23 lb] I have two of the BP-955 and one of the BP-975. More than enough for a full day of work. I could have gotten by with just one 955 and one 975 but I'm paranoid with the fact that at some point a charge is bound to fail and I need a back up. Great long lasting batteries. I wish they were a bit cheaper but the cost is pretty comparable to other camera systems. 5
