[Leather] This really is an amazing housing for the price. The first one I had I used I actually found in the basement at my parents house. It had been sitting there for 10+ years and I did a leak test, still worked, and I used it to do surf photography for the first time. It did eventually split open at the side, but I did catch it before going in the water. It lasted a good 6 months which was amazing because it was at least 10 years old. So I bought another one! I loved the second one for a long time and my mistake was leaving it in the car in the heat :-( It shrunk because it got too hot in my trunk, then when I put the camera in it, the housing was soft and the side split open. My fault here for sure. So I bought another one, hahahaha :-) Moral of the story here is to just continuously do water checks for your housing, it is soft housing so just be aware of not leaving it in your car for a day when you aren't using it, but this has been such an amazing an affordable option for me until I can buy a proper water housing. The only downside is it is too hard to change the settings once the camera is in the housing. So I use masking tape to keep my lens set at infinity, then I set my aperture and shutter speed depending on the light, sometimes auto if it's one of those days, and then just go for it! I have taken some amazing photos and love love love how much I've learned to get creative with my settings because of the restriction of being able to change it in the moment :-) It gets 5 stars because for a tenth of the price I get to create amazing photos and enjoy surf photography! I don't have to wait to spend 2500+ on a housing to do what I want :-) And as with any type of water housing, there is always a risk of ruining your camera. I already lost one camera to the sea :-) But the joy of ocean photography is so worth it so I'm willing to jump into the possibility of doing it again! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine!

[0.25 lb] Light weight and easy to use. I started using it with my Canon EOS10D and am still using it with the EOS 50D. With all other housings I would have had to buy a new one each time I changed the camera...

[5.7 x 3 x 1.2"] Decided to get this over cheaper alternatives mainly due to:1) optical glass for better image quality2) adaptor to hold front of glass against your lens which really help in preventing any vignetting I do have previous experience using sports housings by aquatech for sports photography and got this more for casual beach side usage. Overall, am very satisfied by the quality of the housing and the images produced out of it.

[Leather] This is my first experience with an underwater camera. I am glad I chose SeaLife. Oh I got the camera in the mail the morning that I left for about an hour and played around with the various controls while I was on the airplane.

This camera is incredibly user-friendly and takes terrific pictures. Most of my diving on this trip was between 30 and 60 feet. Using the "Dive" mode, the automatic filtering system for correct in the colors worked remarkably well. In fact, when I used an external light in dive mode, the pictures were not as good. (There is a separate mode for "external light.") I highly recommend this camera, especially if you are a novice like me.

[5.7 x 3 x 1.2"] I have used this when it rains. I am going to shoot with this in the water when I travel to the Dominican Republic! But I've used it for Land photos and the quality is fantastic. I'm too embarrassed about my shots to show the land photos.

[Leather] If you are looking for an easy to use and no maintenance underwater point and shoot camera, this is the one. It's solid like a rock but feel comfortable in hand. It's fixed focus so no more struggles for focusing the right target. The snorkeling white balance preset generated quite accurate colors. And the picture quality is very good. It's easy to mount on a monopod to extend the reach for video. All in all it's an excellent travel underwater camera that can generate good results yet adding minimal load to your luggage. The attached photos are frame grab from the HD videos (about 2MB resolution). It's far from the normal single shot picture quality so this is for reference only.

[5.7 x 3 x 1.2"] The buttons, wheels and levers seem a bit much when you take it out of the box. BUT when you load your camera and lens (D780 Nikon for me) the buttons, wheels and levers are all intuitive and right where they're supposed to be. A couple of the levers or triggers are used for the shutter, AF, etc. BUT they are also pretty intuitive for diving.

Two things I suggest that they should just sell with the kit.
1) the vacuum pump should come standard. The peace of mind it gives is worth every penny.

2) you're going to need the optional weight arm. This rig with an extension and the large dome is not a little buoyant it is very buoyant. I added the weight holder arm with 2lbs for fresh water and get a great natural buoyancy.

[0.25 lb] Wow... I didn't exactly use as intended but hear me out. I had to shoot an event that involved a lot of paint and water. It absolutely protected my camera in the middle of all the action. It took me literally on the scene to figure how to put it on. So I didn't even have the manual but thank goodness I figured it out. I was able to access my menu to still use the camera effectively. I was even able to zoom.

[Leather] This is a really great housing. I have been using it for surf photography. The housings made for surf photography can run you a couple of thousand, minimum, so this one is an awesome way to get started! It's a bit tricky without being able to test the settings and the lens port requires some cropping in post when using wide angle lenses. Totally worth it though!
