The Cherry MX Brown switches have a soft, tactile bump about halfway through the key press. The Soft Pressure Point switch technology makes the mechanical keyboard less clicky while providing a pleasant tactile experience. The gold-plated switches don't rust and will last up to 50 million keystrokes.

With its large volume knob, Das Keyboard 4 Pro for Mac allows users to quickly adjust volume while on a Skype call, in a Google Hangout, or when streaming online music. It also provides quick access to dedicated media controls such as mute, play, pause, next, and previous track. In addition to standard Command and Alt/Option keys, the 4 Pro offers access to a number of other Mac-specific key functions. The keyboard makes it easy to toggle between screens, view your desktop along with other applications that you have open, and access your brightness controls, all at the push of a button.

The 4 Pro's silk screen keys are UV hard coated for extra durable inscriptions. The inscription font is also modernized to provide greater ease of reading. The home keys, F and J, have the traditional bumps to help you place your fingers correctly.

NKRO, or n-key rollover, means that each key is scanned completely independently by the keyboard hardware, so that each keypress is correctly detected regardless of how many other keys are being pressed or held down at the time. This is especially helpful for fast typists and gamers who often press a key before they've fully released the previous one.

[USB-A ] This is the strongest build quality I have ever felt in a keyboard. I had no idea they made them like this. The USB hub is super handy and the volume wheel is very nice.

I don't use the ruler to raise the keyboard and haven't quite needed to use it for anything yet. But I guess the ruler cool to have and even if I never use the it, I still love the keyboard.

[Black] Tired of mushy keyboards? Look no further. The Das Keyboard 4 Professional with Cheery MX Blue switches is the way to go. I've always liked the experience typing on a solid mechanical keyboard, but I could never justify the extra cost. I thought I was being silly even considering the expense. Now, I wish I spent the money years ago. This thing feels so solid under your hands and it has some heft when you pick it up. It's extremely well made. The typing experience is second to none. Don't put it off like I did for years. Treat yourself to the Das Keyboard and you won't look back!

[Aluminum] This keyboard is the ultimate typing experience compared to any other keyboard Ive tried. I had a cheap keyboard with brown switches, cause I thought the blues would be too loud for my office. However, the brown switches barely had any tactile feedback, they were actually worse than some silicone dome keyboards from Gearhead. So I got this keyboard and my office coworkers actually prefer this sound, it is rather clicky, but is missing the clunky sound of bottoming out, which was a problem with the cheap keyboard.

One problem though; the USB hub doesnt work on the one I got. If I plug something in the hub, it says theres insufficient power and it doesnt mount the device. I contacted customer support and they got me to do a firmware update, but that didnt solve the problem. They told me I can request an exchange through B&H, but I didnt want to do without it for that long, so I just dont use the hub, which I probably wouldnt have anyway.

[N-Key] My older work-from-home keyboard (as a full-time programmer) started to have some sticking keys, so I decided to splurge and buy myself a good one. I first learned to touch-type on a manual typewriter when I was young, and most modern (post-1990's) keyboards still just feel wrong. This feels excellent, and my typing speed is getting back to what it should be. Not having to worry about typos due to lack of rollover is also very nice.

It's also about as compact as a full-size keyboard with a numeric pad can be: no fat borders or wrist rests (ugh) at the edges. The slightly recessed sleep button is very convenient for shutting down at night. My only quibble is that the LED for the Numeric Lock is annoyingly bright; after a couple layers of trimmed post-it note on it, the LED is just bright enough to be useful. (And I don't mind the brightness of the Caps Lock LED, because I've been known to hit that key by mistake.)

Overall, excellent.

[Mac] I've had this keyboard model for years on an old desktop computer. I just bought a second one to park in front of my laptop at the kitchen table. Oh my, what a difference! It has turned the laptop into a productivity center. Build quality is fantastic, layout is great, and tactile feel reduces keying errors. I may get a third!

[Yes] I wanted to order a keyboard with two different debits cards and the person that that helped me was very kind and patient and I was able to order the keyboard, they were old debit cards, and I was not sure they would still work and they did, I have purchased items in the past and they are so nice to work with .

[Knob] This keyboard really deserves 4.5 stars. It has everything I like but for $170, backlit keys should be included.

The keyboard is sturdy, the feel of the keys is excellent and the sound of the Cherry blue swithches is not annoying but is a bit loud. Typing will never be fun but it makes it as easy and satisfying as it could be. The keys are solid and don't have any wiggle. I find that I don't need a wrist rest with it by my wife does, so that will be an extra cost if you don't already have it. This replaced a Logitech wireless keyboard and when it comes to reliability, there is nothing as good as a wired keyboard. Overall, very happy I got this.

[Black] Bought this to use with a Mac--first time user switching from PC. Plug and play with the new Monterey iOS. This keyboard is solid and stays where you place it, clicky keys are not too noisy, nice spacing between keys, nice contours of key caps, nice having the sound volume control wheel, and the display bright and dimming function keys. This keyboard has two USB A hubs built into the back side. For now, I've plugged in a new Logitech corded M500s mouse also from BH Photo. So, I do not have to recharge keyboard or mouse--both are corded and work fine for me. Great typing experience on this keyboard and boosts productivity. I do have an Apple Magic Keyboard and Mouse. Might use them on occasion, but Das Keyboard for Mac will be my first choice. So glad they make this product. There is also a third-party app that I can load, recommended by Das Keyboard, to tweak other function keys. I am fine as is.
