thermal imaging glassesis specifically engineered for astrophotography and astro-imaging performance. Its shortened 800mm focal length produces a fast f/3.9 focal ratio to reduce the exposure times required for capturing detailed images of the Moon, planets, and deep-sky objects. To further boost performance, borosilicate mirrors with a low coefficient of thermal expansion to reduce the effects of expansion/contraction when the temperature fluctuates. This helps limit distortion that can occur when moving the OTA from indoors to outdoors. The entire optical system is fully multicoated to increase the reflectivity of all surfaces to produce brighter and sharper images.

For imaging and visual use, the ability to achieve tack-sharp focus is critical, so Sky-Watcher outfitted the Quattro with a large 2" Crayford-style focuser. This design uses a steel rod held tightly against the focus tube under tension. Using this toothless friction system eliminates backlash and enables ultrafine precision focusing. A large coarse-focus wheel quickly brings subjects into rough focus, and the 10:1 fine-focus allows you to precisely focus it without the risk of losing it as soon as the knob is released. Having the ability to use larger 2" accessories and eyepieces provides an immersive experience during observation sessions and the ability to use larger sensors for capturing images.

The Quattro is offered here without a mount or tripod for users who have a solid observation platform. Its cradle ring assembly clamps over the OTA so you can position it for balancing when mounted and place the eyepiece precisely for more comfortable observations. It also allows adjustment of the entire rig so you can avoid interference with other equipment and accessories. A dovetail plate on the bottom of the cradle ring assembly makes this OTA compatible with any Vixen-style saddle.

[800 mm] I bought this device for birding, specifically looking for owls at night. Some of the top thermal scopes cost upwards of $4k. The problem is, they are clearly marked as Export Controlled. I don't want to get into any trouble with those. This little plug-in camera cost only $400. So I decided to give it a try. I brought it to Guatemala a few days ago, hooked up with an old Pixel 3A phone, it worked great, far better than I expected. I found an owl at night perched silently behind our cabin on my second night there. I could see the red-hot owl based on the body shape. Even smaller birds can show up as hotspots at night. Definitely worth the $$$. 5

[800 mm] After a neighborhood dog got spooked by fireworks, was lost for 4 days & then found dead in tall grass in an elderly couple's overgrown yard with a watering can stuck on his head... I realized we needed a better way to do visual searches there's far too many limitations on naked eye visibility or even with binoculars . I decided to look into getting an entry level Thermo imaging monocular, I chose this one after reading reviews elsewhere but found it here at the most affordable price- even better than Amazon Prime Day! It was shipped the same day of ordering & packaged beautifully. Arrived quickly (quicker than some of my Amazon Prime Day orders!). I was instantly impressed with this monocular & quickly realized there are many more useful applications. From inspecting our home's roof & walls, to detecting inflammation on 2 & 4 legged family members, to seeing present wild life when you had no clue they were there. Camera & photos aren't the greatest but in all honesty I have no need to save what I see beyond showing how cool Thermo imaging is. I may upgrade to a more advanced Thermo imager later but for right now, my needs & at this price point it's pretty darn great!! 5

[f/3.9] My first AGM Rattler and it is easier to use than other thermals I have used. Has all the functionality of other high dollar thermals. A friend has several rattlers and they all work well. Works for a handheld or a rifle scope. You won’t be disappointed if you buy this one. 5

[28 lb] Purchased thinking to play, not expecting anything solid. I was wrong, this is a tool, not a toy, a force multiplier. Holds its zero on Tavor with M885 ammo, holds the zero after removal and reattaching like a dozen times, not even clamped super strong. I have my iron sights and red dot configured such that I got bulls eye at 100 m and 200m. This baby I zeroed with different reticles to 25m, 50m and 100m for dead center. Also the red dot is of a weird shape because of my sight issues, makes aiming tricky - this is perfectly visible as it is just a screen, so crystal clear. I also mounted it with a dovetail mount onto my airgun and not surprisingly was shooting light bulbs from 25 m every time (I used 12V 3W small E10 lamps with 3.7V lithium batteries, so they barely give away any visible light but still ran hot enough to be bright white on a sunny day). Highly impressed! 5
