Lighting designers in need of a powerful wash light should check out the black Elation Professional SIXPAR 300IP, a RGBAW+UV Par light fixture for outdoor use, well suited for event production, rental houses, clubs, bars, cruise ships, touring companies, and special events. The fixture features 18 individual 12W 6-in-one LEDs, and offers electronic strobe, five variable dimming curve modes, and daisy-chaining capabilities.

The SIXPAR 300IP incorporates a four-button touch-control panel and an LCD menu display and supports three-pin DMX connectivity (via the included DMX IP adapter cables) and RDM control. Flicker-free operation makes the unit suitable for broadcast TV and film. Four DMX channel modes (6, 7, 8, and 12 channels) enable you to control varying levels of features. The fixture features an IP power input and an internal auto-switching power supply. It is compatible with 110 to 250 VAC outlets and has a maximum power consumption of 220W. The SIXPAR 300IP can be mounted on a floor stand or hung from a rig using the integrated dual yoke bracket (clamps sold separately).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can i use the 7 socket fixture for bigger octagon such as 150 cm octagon (octagon softbox)??

A: I would say no.Reason is it struggles to put out enough light.Up close it does good, well diffused light but I bought bigger bulbs because I wanted more light from it

Q: 2. Can this hold a conventional incandescent Edison bulb?

A: It holds up to a 60w lamp so if the lamp physically fits you could fit a standard Edison bulb. But 60w will not give a lot of output with tungsten and a led is recommended.

Q: 3. What is the maximum wattage of this fixture please?

A: You should be able to use up to a 500w lamp with them.

Q: 4. Can this be used with any kind of light board?

A: You would need a dimmer pack such as the Eliminator Lighting ED-15 4-Channel Dimmer, BH # ELED15 to control the PAR 20 Aluminum Light Fixture from a DMX control board. https://bhpho.to/3xJKmh0

Q: 5. Would this work with an Aputure Accent B7c LED RGBWW Light?

A: No, the Aputure Accent B7c LED RGBWW Light is not compatible with the Odyssey PAR 16 Aluminum Light Fixture.

Q: 6. Can the light level be adjusted, or is it always on ?

A: The Raya Octa Fluorescent 7-Socket Fixture has dual rocker switches on their back panels, each of which control on/off function for 3 or 4 lamps allowing the creation of a light ratio. You can either turn one switch on to use 3 lamps, the other switch to use 4 lamps, or both switches to use all 7 lamps at once.

Q: 7. Can this be used as continuous lighting for videography purposes?

A: From a customer stand point, I have enjoyed using the Octa Fluorescent 7- socket 2 light softbox kit due to the features of using the full spectrum of lighting or cutting back half depending on my level of light needed for photography sessions. There was no change in lighting temperature during usage and it gives a nice overall lighting even if used for videography.

Q: 8. Can someone tell me the output of these lights in lumens or lux at 1 meter?

A: According to the manufacturer, when using the Raya Octa Fluorescent 7-Socket Fixture 1-Light Softbox Kit, using the included Eiko 26-watt bulbs, inner baffle, and diffuser would be 678 lux @1 meter (3.3 feet). The CCT color temperature is 5,061K, with color accuracy measurements listed as CRI 87.6 and TCLI of 70. Unfortunately, they did not have a lumens measurement for this light fixture setup.

Q: 9. What's the maximum wattage this fixture supports? Thanks.

A: This Odyssey PAR 16 Aluminum Light Fixture can hold up to a 60 watt E26 PAR 16 lamp, though we recommend the Ushio ColourMax 7W LED PAR16 Lamp (SP15, WW30), BH # US1004295 for greater efficiency. https://bhpho.to/3mLhmBI

Q: 10. Will this support tungsten bulbs?

A: Unfortunately, the Raya Octa Fluorescent 7-Socket Fixture 1-Light Softbox Kit is only suitable for fluorescent lamps or LED lamps.

[100,000 Hours] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This charges my phone and headphones so fast. I really like the different types ports it has. It really helps if I need to charge my laptop, phone, and headphones at the same time.

[PAR] I’m giving this 5 stars because it will work well for my purpose. But be advised, it will ONLY accommodate SHORT NECK par30 bulbs. That’s going to limit the assortment of bulbs you can use in it. It’s a bummer there’s not enough space for standard length par30 bulbs because I have some very bright LED 6000 degree kelvin bulbs I’d LOVE to use in them☹️. It’s not a heavy duty, thick gauge metal housing but considering the very economic price, it shouldn’t be! Handling it with care, it should hold up fine. a Bonlux color changing short neck LED bulb in it with it’s remote control is working out quite nicely!

[25.4 lb] Better then expected! Well made, durable, function great. Bought the package of two on sale and feel it was a steal. Not a snap open setup, but does matter, as I don't move the around much. Only complaint was they arrived with four broken bulbs. I now have a total of six of these lights and will not look back on the purchase.

[LCD / 4-Button] Like most people, I don't often give out positive reviews. Not because I don't have reason, but once we get something in hand, no matter how blown away we might be, we're usually off to get busy with it. Reviews take time. Bad reviews are easier to follow through with 'cause we're angry and energized. Hence the far greater volume of negative reviews in circulation than positive. But occasionally something comes along to restore our faith in the world of design and manufacturing, and I have to take a few moments to show some gratitude and encouragement for what surprised me by totally surpassing my expectations. A bundle of gear like this for the low price asked had me braced for a disappointment. Then it was my expectation of disappointment that was disappointed. This is some nice gear... real nice. The materials, design, everything, just dead-on. I needed two extra auxiliary soft-boxes for video work, and didn't need something necessarily top-shelf, so I went low-budget. Turns out I got both: low-budget & top shelf. It's a pretty crazy configuration to boot, these seven spiral bulbs in a cluster. Artsy and functional. If I could change anything (and I'll be trying other bulb types for this), it would be that when the head is first switched on, the fluorescents need a few minutes to reach saturation, something to factor into setup time. I'm going to do some experimenting with dimmables (though there are two switches to activate either just three, four, or all seven bulbs for variable output), and LEDs. All in all, well-deserved praises to Raya Octa for keeping the quality level up where it should be. Cayce

[25.4 lb] The Raya two light kit works perfect with the Green Screen setup. Everything went together very easy, although it took some time placing the rods in the soft boxes. The air cushioned light stands was a nice feature. The Fluorescent light socket with the soft box attached was fairly light and easy to mount and remove. If you need lights for portrait or Green Screen work you can't beat this set of octagon soft boxes with the fourteen CFLs. I'm very pleased and feel this is one of the best bargains out there for this type of lighting. And again good quality for the price.

[0.1 to 20 Hz] I tested the softbox kit thoroughly - with my own third light fixtures.  The light kit works well for my modest needs. There are 2 switches to make 3 lighting configurations - a good idea!
Sure, it takes a lot of time assemble and then disassemble light fixtures as I dont have enough room for keeping them assembled, but thats a part of the deal. Two bulbs arrived broken but the issue was resolved quickly and gracefully with one phone call. This was my only phone call to B&H in some 30 years of relationship.  Thank you guys!
