The elation sixbar 1000is a high-powered RGBAW+UV (red, green, blue, amber, white + ultraviolet) LED linear fixture designed to produce a broad spectrum of UV-infused color washes with natural-looking color temperatures. Featuring six, 12W (6-in-1) LEDs that have a beam angle of 30°, it provides wide washes for venue uplighting and heat-free illumination to performers on stage.

The SIXBAR 500 offers both standalone and DMX operation. (If adjust the light itself to channel 2, I can still only control it with the #1 slider, and I didn't have any luck messing with the dip switches on the controller--I didn't fully understand their explanation of the switches.)

A: If you set the light's DMX address to one more than the address of the controller then it'll be able to be dimmed with slider #2. Set the light to two more than the address of the controller and you can use slider #3 to adjust it, and so on.

Q: 4. The E-Fly unit looks exactly the same as a ADJ WiFly unit. Can they work together?

A: Yes it is the same technology. Wifly is sold through ADJ and E-Fly throigh Elation.

Is there another simple/basic option that would allow me to support all of my LED panels via one DMX controller? I don't need fancy programming or preset options.

A: No. The following unit offers six faders which control channels 1-6 and 7-12.

Q: 8. Im new to DMX controllers. How does this control multiple lights with only one or two outputs?

A: The idea with DMX512 is to have one cable run (from controller into first light and out from 1st light into second light and out of second into 3rd etc. So that would explain the single output. The SDC12 is used for very basic either testing of units or simple manual control over the fixtures via the faders essentially sending a signal to lights from0-100% activating the features of the light being controlled. If used with an RGB color mixing pars in 3 channel mode fader one for example would dim the R or red channel from 0-100% the second fader would control Green and third control Blue allowing you to mix these colors producing different colors mixing the colors at different levels. For a programmable controller you may want to look at the ADJ DMX Operator. I hope this helps?

A: The Elation Professional CyberPak Dimmer Power Pack (B&H# ELCYBERPACK) is capable of dimming dimmable LED lamps (also known as bulbs) properly. The first person to answer this question mentioned LED dummies (i.e. adding a small load on the circuit to drain the capacitors/transformers) and also that the LEDs won't flicker when off, suggesting that they could flicker when on. To clarify, since LED dummies would only be needed if your LEDs aren't going completely black as quickly as you want when you dim to zero or shut off the circuit. If you are experiencing trouble with LED flicker then you will want to use them at full power or invest in LEDs that can handle this type of dimmer or switch to an LED dimmer.

Q: 10. Do the fans get loud? I'm considering purchasing this but if the fans are loud it won't be of any use on set while capturing audio
