The elation fuze profilefrom elation fuze profileis an ellipsoidal with a 180W RGBAM (red, green, blue, amber, mint) LED engine and 19, 26, 36, and 50° interchangeable lens options (lenses available separately). Offering flicker-free operation and a CRI rating of 94+, the fixture is well suited for theater, TV, and studio applications. It uses a four-flag shutter system with manual focus and controls electronic strobe, dimming, and dimming curves via DMX.

Other features of the Colour 5 Profile include adjustable refresh frequency and gamma brightness, 5-pin DMX and powerCON in/out connectors, a four-button LCD control display panel, an integrated rigging yoke, quiet fan cooling, and a multi-voltage universal auto-switching power supply.

Q: 1. The photos of this product show two different versions. Does this have a 5-pin or a 3-pin DMX connection?

A: The Elation Professional UNI BAR Single DMX Channel Pack ships with a 5-pin DMX in and out connection.

Q: 2. Will this work with a Chauvet DJ DMX-4LED 4-Channel Dimmer Pack?

A: Yes. If the lights you own do not have built-in DMX, then you may use the CHAUVET DJ DMX-4LED 4-Channel Dimmer Pack with the Elation Professional SDC12 12-Channel Basic DMX Controller for your usage needs, allowing you to adjust the light output from the ground.

Q: 3. Is this fluid non-toxic?

A: According to the manufacturer MSDS it present any particular risk.

Q: 4. New to DMX and their related equipment. The specs for the Elation says it has 1 master dimmer fader and 6 faders. I have 5 LED panels and I want to control each one separately for brightness and color temp. I believe that means I need 10 faders - right? Does that mean I would need two Elation Controllers? Is there another simple/basic option that would allow me to support all of my LED panels via one DMX controller? I don't need fancy programming or preset options.

A: No. The following unit offers six faders which control channels 1-6 and 7-12.

Q: 5. Is this unit capable of properly dimming LED bulbs?

A: The Elation Professional CyberPak Dimmer Power Pack (B&H# ELCYBERPACK) is capable of dimming dimmable LED lamps (also known as bulbs) properly. The first person to answer this question mentioned LED dummies (i.e. adding a small load on the circuit to drain the capacitors/transformers) and also that the LEDs won't flicker when off, suggesting that they could flicker when on. To clarify, since LED dummies would only be needed if your LEDs aren't going completely black as quickly as you want when you dim to zero or shut off the circuit. If you are experiencing trouble with LED flicker then you will want to use them at full power or invest in LEDs that can handle this type of dimmer or switch to an LED dimmer.

Q: 6. Do the fans get loud? I'm considering purchasing this but if the fans are loud it won't be of any use on set while capturing audio

A: It is our understanding that the fans on this panel are quiet enough for use on set.

Q: 7. Can both dmx outputs be used at the same time? JJ

A: No, only use one dmx output at a time on the Elation Professional SDC12 12-Channel Basic DMX Controller

Q: 8. The E-Fly unit looks exactly the same as a ADJ WiFly unit. Can they work together?

A: Yes it is the same technology. Wifly is sold through ADJ and E-Fly throigh Elation.

Q: 9. are these useable for LED panels?

A: It would require a frame to optimize the effect. These would narrow or widen the spread of the light but there is a significant reduction in the brightness of the light output. Even after purchasing these to use with LED PAR cans I have decided not to use them. They would probably be usable to create a very diffuse wash from the panels.

Q: 10. Does this come with mounting hardware?

A: It comes with brackets and magnet mount options. Clamps not included.

[225 W, maximum] Bought the Magma Prime hazer and 2 gallons of the AEF-4L Hazer fluid in December 2021 and used the machine in a 1000 capacity room for national touring artists and the fluid efficiency was astonishing. I didn't need to buy more for 3 months of use. It's a great price for a gallon of hazer fluid that lasts for hours and hours of constant thick and long lasting haze. With the Magma Prime at 30-65% it fills the room evenly for the whole night. I use it at every venue I work at even outside at the beach I will use 2 for control anywhere the wind blows. The the hazer is made for this fluid. This fluid is made for that hazer. The machines don't get clogged or spit out fluid because it's made to fog at the exact temperature of the Magma Prime's heating element. So this fluid makes the hazer an extraordinary efficient and extremely low maintenance machine. I have had 2 other Lighting Designers and a production manager at 300 capacity club ask me for the info on the hazer and the fluid. So they all went and bought the Magma Prime and we all order the Elation AEF-4L Fluid from B&H because they get it right and they get it to you quickly. BUY THE RECOMMENDED FLUID OF THE HAZER YOU HAVE and this stuff is what makes the Prime a hazer built to last at s great price. You can't go wrong with this combo. 5

[21 lb / 9.5 kg] We have 4 pan tilt lights and need to use them live but not like during a programmed DJ event. We wanted a way to move the lights into place for a church play using them like spot lights on the actors. Most full-blown lighting controllers will not hold the lights in place if you switch to another (some brands of lights will park in their home position when they loose signal). These SDC12 controllers can only connect to one light at a time giving us individual and dedicated control over each light. However, you can connect more lights to one controller but all lights will do the same thing being locked onto the same address. 5

[23.25 lb] These worked great for incorporating traditional tungsten and incandescent lamps into my DMX-controlled lighting workflow. I was able to easily plug a CRMX receiver into the 5-pin DMX port and control these dimmers from my iPad with the Blackout app. They're great for small tungsten and incandescent practical fixtures, which I find look much better than Astera NYX bulbs 9 times out of 10. 5
