Prevent leaks and keep your Canon 5D Mk III camera safe in Aquatica's A5D Mk III Underwater Housing with the SURVEYOR Moisture and Vacuum Sensor. This unit is sensitive to atmospheric pressure, and it allows you to confirm watertight integrity before diving. An included compensation function improves accuracy by ensuring that changes in ambient or internal temperature will not cause incorrect readings.

Once your camera is installed, simply push the actuation button on the sensor's circuit board. With the optional valve and extracting pump, which are part of the complete Vacuum Circuitry Kit, you can actually remove excess air to create a vacuum in the housing.

  • If the pressure level is increasing but a vacuum has not yet been achieved, the LED will begin to flash in orange
  • Should a slight loss in pressure be detected, the LED will start to flash in orange to warn you
  • If your housing system is failing to maintain a vacuum, or the slightest amount of water has made contact with the sensor probes, an audible alarm will go off and the LED will also flash rapidly in red

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you use a non-arca-swiss QR plate for mounting cage to a manfrotto head? Specifically, I want to attach a 410PL QR plate.

A: The bottom of the SmallRig Camera Cage for Canon 5D Mark III or 5D Mark IV has mounting points that would allow you to attach any tripod plate style you wish to the cage. Mounting shown in the image below: https://static.bhphoto.com/images/multiple_images/images1000x1000/1559133947_IMG_1192562.jpg

Q: 2. Can be used with a Canon 5D Mark ii?

A: We're afraid not. This is a form fitting cage for the 5D Mark IV and III, which have different dimensions from the Mark II. Instead we recommend a universal option like the SmallRig 2127 Quick Release VersaFrame Half Cage (Medium) for the 5D Mark II, BH #SM2127B. https://bhpho.to/2O7riSj

Q: 3. Do you have to buy an additional cover for longer lenses?

A: Thank you for the inquiry. Q: 4. Hello! Was wondering if I buy this for my M50, would my Canon EF-M 32 mm lens work for this housing?

A: Yes, the Ikelite 200DLM/A Underwater Housing for Canon EOS M50 & M50 Mark II works with the M50 with the Canon EF-M 32mm lens attached. But you will need the Ikelite DLM 6" Dome Port with Zoom Control for Wide-Angle Mirrorless Lenses, https://bhpho.to/3pkMD2B .

Q: 5. Does it fit for a 5D?

A: I'm sorry, no.

Q: 6. Would this be useful for astrophotography?

A: Yes, magnifying the display to view and compose images would definitely be beneficial.

Q: 10. Hi all, I purchased this housing and tried it for scuba diving. Unfortunately, I could not get the mode dial to work in this housing. Anyone knows what the issue might be? I read the manual attentively and aligned the camera before closing the housing, but still didn't succeed. I will greatly appreciate your advice! Except for this issue, I really like this housing

[0.1 lb] I bought this case a few days ago after gathering all info on the Fantasea, Canon and Ikelite housings. I chose the Fantasea because it had great reviews and seemed to be a quality product without being too expensive. It works beautifully. Easy access to buttons, even touch-screen, everything worked great. I highly recommend this housing.

[0.1 lb] Light weight and easy to use. I started using it with my Canon EOS10D and am still using it with the EOS 50D. With all other housings I would have had to buy a new one each time I changed the camera...

[0.1 lb] Until I got this housing, I've been using a less-expensive competitor's flexible housing. It worked fine, but I was shooting with my older Canon 5D Mk IV, because I didn't trust that housing with my new R5. This new Ikelite housing provides a real sense of confidence that there will be no leaks, so I trust it with the more expensive, newer camera. The better sensor, lens and focusing speed of the R5, along with the positive control and clear display of the 200DL housing, makes the combination a whole new level of quality. My ratio of usable shots has quadrupled with this combo, making my time underwater much more efficient. The dual handles, trigger extensions, and large, clear back cover make the 200DL easy to handle and predictable to shoot with. Very happy with this purchase.

[0.1 lb] This is a really great housing. I have been using it for surf photography. The housings made for surf photography can run you a couple of thousand, minimum, so this one is an awesome way to get started! It's a bit tricky without being able to test the settings and the lens port requires some cropping in post when using wide angle lenses. Totally worth it though!

[0.1 lb] This is a great housing in it's simplicity. It doesn't confuse me with so many buttons. It has only the functions that are necessary. I have taken great pictures with it. It works perfectly every time.

[0.1 lb] Decided to get this over cheaper alternatives mainly due to:1) optical glass for better image quality2) adaptor to hold front of glass against your lens which really help in preventing any vignetting I do have previous experience using sports housings by aquatech for sports photography and got this more for casual beach side usage. Overall, am very satisfied by the quality of the housing and the images produced out of it.
