Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit the Fuji Xt3 with 16-80mm (72mm thread)? BH overview says 67, specs say 72. Ewa marine's website says 67, but their drawing indicates 72. Can someone look at it and see if it is 72mm? thx.

A: No, the Ewa-Marine U-A Underwater Housing only works with filters up to 67mm in size. For 72mm you need the Ewa-Marine U-A100 Underwater Housing for DSLRs and Mirrorless Cameras, BH #EWEMUA100 (https://bhpho.to/3Jdj5M6). One can use step up rings for the smaller filter sizes.

Q: 2. Will this fit the Fujifilm XT3 + 10-24mm f/4 lens w/ a 72mm filter size?

A: Yes, it will fit the XT3 and 10-24mm lens.

Q: 3. can a Nikon D750 with a 24-70mm nikorr lens fit in this housing?

A: For that outfit we would reccomend the U-B Series which allows for a larger body/lens combination. filter thread is also important to not as larger filter threads such as 77 or 82 mm lenses need to utilize the 100 designation housings which have a larger front port.

Q: 4. I know this is a pouch, but can it hold a Sony a7rii with a Sigma 28-70mm f.2 lens attached?..thanks..

A: The Ewa-Marine DUS-5 Water Safe Deep Water Nautic Map Pouch is not large enough for the a7rIII with a Sigam 28-70mm lens attached.

Q: 5. Can a Canon 5D Miii with a 24-70mm (Canon L-Series) fit comfortably in here?

A: The Ewa-Marine U-A Underwater Housing is too small for the Canon 5D mark III. Also the lens port could only handle lenses that have a 72mm filter thread. The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM has a 82mm filter thread. The Ewa-Marine U-BF100 Underwater Housing is large enough for the Canon 5D Mark III and the lens port can handle lenses with a 82mm filter thread.

Q: 6. Does the housing get in the frame if I used it with a wider lens like 25mm f/2.8 (on a Sony a7r ii)?

A: there will always be vignetting with wide angle lenses but with ewa marine housings this is minimized through connecting the lens to the front port with an adapter ring system.

Q: 7. I'm looking for underwater housing that would accommodate my Canon 5D III, battery grip, 600EX flash and a 77mm lens (ideally up to 82mm). What reliable options would you recommend for this setup, without breaking the bank?

A: Ewa-Marine bag housings are a reliable option at a reasonable price when working in 20' of water or less. The housing is rated to 150' but water pressure will make it difficult to access the camera controls through the bag. The Ewa-Marine U-BXP100 is their largest housing. This bag is designed to hold an on-camera speedlight and could accommodate internal focus lenses with a maximum 82mm lens filter size. The housing includes the threaded 77mm lens-to-port adapter ring. Other optional port adapter rings including the 82mm adapter is available (#CA82). Wide-angle lenses can be used with this housing. The housing is designed for large DSLR cameras only. Use of a battery grip cannot be guaranteed. Q: 8. Will this work with a Canon 80d, Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8, and Yongnuo Transmitter (YN-E3-RT)?

A: This setup will fit in the u-az

Q: 9. Will a nikon d750 and sigma 35mm lens fit in this?

A: the d750 will fit in this housing without a battery grip if you have a battery grip or lenses with a larger diameter than 72mm i suggest using the U-B100 series of housings.

Q: 10. Hi there. This model will be for a Nikon D7200 with a Sigma Art lens 30mm 1.4?

A: I bought this for my son's Nikon - I forget which model but a common DSLR package. He used it in Bali and loved it - so I believe it will work for yours.

[Screw Rail Seal] When hurricane Irene hit our coast, I missed some of the best surf conditions during the year because i was on call carrying a pager. I needed a way to bring my pager out in the water. The solution is the DUS-1 Beeper Bag. I put my pager in a zip lock bag and into the Beeper Bag. The Beeper Bag goes into my camel bak. It works great. I can hear my pager go off while in the surf. I don't have to worry about my pager getting wet or missing a page.

[Screw Rail Seal] Very good design. Has eye-hole for view and focus. Slips easily over camera and lens. Plastic may be stiff in very cold weather.

[0.215 lb] This waterproof case is dirt-simple, rugged, and relatively inexpensive. Our old Sony is a bit dated, but still a pretty good camera. Now that we have a new Nikon, I'll risk the old Sony for snorkeling duty in Central America this spring.

[0.215 lb] Watertight and big enough to hold a 580ex II flash with radio trigger. Cheaper option for small jobs rather than buying a dedicated housing

[0.215 lb] Here is the most important thing you will need to know... IT WORKS! Putting your 5D Mark III into a body of water with a $2500 dollar lens and a flash does not feel natural in any way the first time you ease it into the water. But life is life and if it was going to leak I was going to find out the hard way, It did not leak. Humidity packets that came with it got rid of fog. The only tricky thing is that you really need to dial in your settings before getting in there, or use it on full auto. I shoot in Pools in Manual and it worked fine with a bit of going back and adjusting settings again. Direct flash looks terrible underwater as it does above water, so I am still not sure I will use flash again for my underwater needs. Great thing is I can turn flash on and off through the housing anyways so, not a big deal to have there just in case. The plastic does warp your lcd image and makes it look cloudy, the first time I thought everything looked terrible until I took it out of the thick plastic housing. Bottom line, this works, and the company that makes it guarantees your gear in case of manufacturing failure. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!

[Lanyard] Decided to get this over cheaper alternatives mainly due to:1) optical glass for better image quality2) adaptor to hold front of glass against your lens which really help in preventing any vignetting I do have previous experience using sports housings by aquatech for sports photography and got this more for casual beach side usage. Overall, am very satisfied by the quality of the housing and the images produced out of it.

[Lanyard] This is a really great housing. I have been using it for surf photography. The housings made for surf photography can run you a couple of thousand, minimum, so this one is an awesome way to get started! It's a bit tricky without being able to test the settings and the lens port requires some cropping in post when using wide angle lenses. Totally worth it though!

[Lanyard] Loved the shots - it was easier to preset many of the controls first - no problems on vacation reef dive -way cheaper than a hard housing - flexible but has a glass lens port.
