A: Vanco HDMI Extender over Single Cat 6/5e Cable with IR Blaster cannot be used for ATEM camera control because this converter is unidirectional.

Q: 2. Will this work with my Nikon d7200 into my Macbook Air with thunderbolt ports?

A: This is a HDMI cable meant to transfer video-signals to display devices, such as monitors or capture cards. Macbooks (and other laptops in general) do not accept video input without a capture device. Furthermore, neither end of this cable will fit in a thunderbolt, thunderbolt 2, or thunderbolt 3 port.

Q: 3. The leads look to be about 24", is that close?

A: Yes, the four cables are about 24 inches long each.

Q: 4. Are the CAT5 cables shielded, for compatibility with phantom power?

A: The Whirlwind 4-Channel Fan-to-Fan Ethercon Cat 5e Snake Cable (250') would support POE power. However this is not a shielded cable.

Q: 5. Is this a shielded CAT5e snake or unshielded?

A: This is a braided shield.

Q: 6. What type of connector do these cable have? Is it 2.0 or above?

A: Yes it does.

Q: 8. I have a 15' HDMI Mini to HDMI A cable. Can I put it in 1 end of a coupler and this in the other end of the coupler and then have this going into a Black Magic Ultra Studio Recorder? If so how bad will signal or quality loss be?

A: Like any HDMI connection, anything above 35' is only possible. Not guaranteed. A coupler may work perfectly fine, but 100 is quite a lot. It may work very well, or not at all. A poor quality signal is unlikely. If your source is very strong it may be good. Most of us in the business consider 50' to be the realistic maximum.

Q: 9. What connectors do you recommend for this cable? Should they be CAT6 specific?

A: We used Hubbell Cat6 Ethernet modules. You could use Cat5e - but why limit yourself.

Q: 10. Does B&H sell a USB-to-5VDC cable that would enable this to run off a Power Delivery battery? Thanks!

A: I'm sorry at this time we do not have a Battery option for the Vanco HDMI Extender over Single Cat 6/5e Cable with IR Blaster.

[0.04 lb] This is perfect for my projector that I own that has an HDMI port much neater looking then trying to use a 6ft HDMI when the laptop is right next to the projector. No more mess and easier to wrap and store away for event setups. The quality is just as good as a more expensive cable. If you need great quality cable but without breaking the bank then this cable is for you! 5
