Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the bundle include the 12v power adapter cables?

A: Yes. The 4 power cables are attached to the combiner unit and plug directly to and power up the individual channel units.

Q: 2. Can I use IFBT4's with this unit? They transmit at 250mW. Wondering if this can attenuate or handle that kind of power.

A: The Lectrosonics M2C accepts a maximum input of 100 mW per port, so no, they would not be recommended for use together.

Q: 3. If I'll use two A1031U antennas, with two 5m BNC cables, direct to the G1 EW 100 receiver, what is the optimal distance between them if I work on 550.000Mhz ?

A: For the best coverage you will want to place the antennae as far from one another as possible.

Q: 4. Can you combine IEM and IFB RF signals of different output strengths? For instance I have a Lectrosonics M2T that has two output carriers of 50mw each. and a Lectrosonics T4 IFB transmitter that outputs 250mw. Can I combine them all with this to a single antenna?

A: It is possible to use transmitters with different power output levels with the RF Venue COMBINE4 - 4-Channel Antenna Combiner. This combiner is a unity device that does not affect or change the output strength of the transmitters connected. It does, however, have a maximum input level of 100mW and would not be compatible for use with a transmitter pushing 250mW such as the Lectrosonics IFBT4.

Q: 5. Does this come with Rack Ears?

A: No, the Sennheiser AC 41-US Active Antenna Combiner does not include rack ears with purchase. The Sennheiser GA 3 Rackmount Kit (BH #SEGA3) can be purchased for rack mounting this combiner.

Q: 6. can use this for transmitting device (In ear monitor)?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser A 1031-U Omnidirectional UHF Antenna can be used with Sennheiser G4 IEM transmitters.

Q: 7. Which antenna specifically comes with this kit?

A: A2003 UHF Wide-Band Antenna Sennheiser ADP UHF Passive Directional Antenna for EW-D Wireless Systems (470 to 1075 MHz) B&H # SEADPUHF4701 MFR # ADP UHF (470 - 1075 MHZ)

Q: 8. Can I use them for iem receivers? How long can I extend the antenna with a bnc cable? Thanks

A: Yes, the Sennheiser A 1031-U Omnidirectional UHF Antenna for Evolution Series could technically be used for IEM applications, although it is not ideal. The Sennheiser ADP UHF Passive Directional Antenna for EW-D Wireless Systems (BH #SEADPUHF4701) is more ideal for this application. BNC cable can be used in lengths up to 100 feet or more, but will experience some level of loss over long runs depending on the type of cable used.

Q: 9. what purpose is the power input and power output?

A: The PA411 not only distributes the RF from the antenna but also power to additional PSM transmitters. It will cut down on the amount of power suppiles needed in the rack.

Q: 10. Do i need 2 of these for true diversity?

A: Yes

[0.3 lb] I purchased this to replace an analog IEM antenna combiner that I was using on a Digital IEM platform that was having issues with dropouts and interference. The original (high-end professional) product had been recommended by another supplier, and I was skeptical that it would make any difference to replace as it was amplifying and combining the same signal. This combiner (made specifically with tuning to support Digital IEM's) instantly fixed all of the issues I had been chasing for months. The IEM's are now solid from hundreds of yards away, and no dropouts. This thing has saved my productions.

[BNC] A must-have if you have 3-4 PSM300s. I got to combine the antennas and power all my units from one power source freeing up more power for other units in our rack. Works perfect.

[4x BNC] We were having reception problems using the built in antennas on our receiver until we attached this antenna. We went from having less than 50' of range to successfully testing at over 300'. Well worth the very reasonable cost.

[0.3 lb] Our venue usually runs 4-5 IEM systems and 10 wireless microphone per set. Finding enough RF space in our coordination was next to impossible without intermods. The install was super easy, and we've had zero dropouts or noticeable Intermodulation distortion since the install. Two thumbs way up!

[.025 to 250 MHz] After researching a few different options for a combiner to help with some static / interference we were getting with our Sennheiser In-Ear Monitors - I decided to go with this unit.
Since installing in our rack; we have had absolutely no static, no interference - it solved all of our issues!
The ability for this unit to also power our units using the power over BNC connection is also a very nice surprise; taking up fewer valuable outlets in my power distribution.
I'm quite pleased with this unit and very happy that I bought it.
