The 3 channel receiverfrom 3 channel receiveris an advanced iDSP IR receiver with high-sensitivity. The integrated neck loop/lanyard with DSP loop driver, improves the listening experience for T-coil users. Listen's programmable channel select button allows the user to cycle through active channels, seek to, or lock to a channel. A field-replaceable, lithium-ion battery is included with the unit.

The receiver has an OLED display which shows unique channel names, battery status, channel status, volume status, and charge activation. Connect the iDSP neck loop/lanyard or ear phones via two 3.5mm output jacks (receivers can be shared). The micro-USB connection is used with the free iDSP software suite for set up, programming, inventory management, firmware updates, and charging via any standard USB port.

A: The most you can get out of this receiver is a 5.1.2 system.

A: A single 4ohm pair shouldn't give you any issues.

Q: 5. Will this receiver convert all the analog video inputs to digital so everything can go to HDMI out to the TV without needing a separate composite video cable to also go to the TV?

A: Once you have gone from the HDMI out into the TV, you will not have to establish any other connection between the receiver and the TV.

Q: 6. Does it have the ability to connect wired devices, such as cd and turntable?

A: Yes you can connect a CD player to the Denon AVR-S570BT. You can also connect a turntable that has a built-in preamp, or a turntable that is connected to an external pre-amp.

A: Yes, you can control the volume.

A: The TOSLINK digital audio port is an input only.

A: The Sony STR-DH790 7.2-Channel A/V Receiver (BH # SOSTRDH790) will not accept a +/- two conductor speaker wire +/- 2 conductor. An RCA subwoofer cable is necessary.

Q: 10. can 4 speakers be plugged in? Does this receiver require a sub woofer? is a center speaker required?

A: A subwoofer does not necessarily need to be plugged to the receiver but it will offer more Bass if the other speakers you are connecting do not provide that much lower end. A center speaker will be required if you are looking to utilize the 5.2 Channel Surround Set up for Home Theater purposes. The Center Speaker will be needed to hear the Dialogue from the Video Content.

[Flat black] I moved into a new house, and the previous owner left behind an A/V system - nice Cambridge wall mounted speakers and a sub. The receiver was an old Pioneer unit, and I just couldn't get it to work with modern TV and blu-ray equipment. So I started shopping around for an inexpensive unit that would provide 5.1 channel sound and handle HDMI inputs and outputs. Enter the Yamaha! It does so much at such a low price point! It communicates perfectly with my Samsung TV, and decodes multi-channel audio from OTA TV, online streaming services, and blu-ray. I also love how the TV remote automatically controls the volume of the unit through the bi-directional HDMI connection. I also love the bluetooth audio feature - my phone paired easily and plays Spotify throughout the living room. As an added bonus, the rear surround speakers mirror the fronts when playing 2 channel music - exactly what I would want to cover a room with background music. In short, an excellent priced unit without a lot of un-needed bells and whistles. You won't be disappointed! 5

[Lithium-ion] I plugged in my TV, cable box, DVD player, ROKU and power cable then powered it up and everything just worked. I checked the firmware and it was up to date. I changed the view screen to show Cable Box, DVD and ROKU and that was about it. The ease of operation is great and the sound quality has improved from my previous receiver. The only down side is that I have a phono player that required an addition purchase of a pre-amp, as there is no phono input on this Yamaha A/V receiver....but that was a minor issue. If you don't want to spend a fortune on a A/V receiver I would definitely recommend this Yamaha unit. 5

[0.2 lb] Replaced a 2004 Denon with current technology, especially the ability to route all HDMI cables into the receiver and use the ARC channel to communicate with the HDTV. The pass through feature of the amp allows it to be powered off (read standby) and use the TV with its own speakers without the receiver on all the time. Audio settings for music and video are well done and applicable to the sources. Well recommended for a basic amp. 5

[0.2 lb] I needed an inexpensive receiver that I could install on the top shelf of a kitchen pantry, that would pair easily with my bluetooth devices, and would deliver good-enough sound to ceiling and deck speakers. Well, the sound is very good and it has many options at a good price. There is a reason that it is a best seller at B&H. 5
