The fuji 18 55 filter sizefrom fuji 18 55 filter sizeis compatible with a LEE Filters SW150-series filter holder. This filter can be applied to create a warm cast over specific areas of an image, such as a hazy or colorless sky, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. This effect can be obtained under daylight when this filter is used on a film camera system with daylight film installed, or on a digital camera system with its daylight white balance setting selected. This filter's partial coloration corresponds to an ability to partially reduce 3400K color temperatures to 3200K, which reflects a mired shift value of up to +18 that can be applied to other starting color temperatures as well. This feature is most pronounced at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a hard-edged line of transition between the colored and clear areas.

This filter is non-coated and is constructed from optical-quality resin for clarity as well as color fidelity. Where its coloration is most pronounced, the LEE Filters 150 x 170mm SW150 Hard Edge Graduated 81A Filter has a 0.1 density with a 1.25x filter factor that darkens the corresponding area of an image by 0.3 stops. This reduction in exposure can be compensated for by adjusting the aperture setting of the lens it is placed on, or the shutter speed of the camera being used.

The greater the color temperatures they can potentially reduce to 3200K, light balancing filters are considered to be progressively stronger in their effect when used to add warmth to a daylight image.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work on top of the RRS Universal Leveling Base with Platform?

A: Yes it will, but not sure why you would want to do this. The BH-55 has it's own level on it.

Q: 2. I'm curious of any recommendations for a tripod that can be used both for photography purposes, but also have the ability to mount a motorized astrophotography tracking head to it at a later time? Id rather splurge on the tripod, being I'd use it for both. Id like it to be backwards compatible with either / or, multiple types of head options (basically be as future proof as it could be). Any advice would be really appreciated! Budget, midrange, and top of the line suggestions would be awesome! Id end up buying a higher end ($1000-ish) tracking head. Willing to hear what else you all suggest! Thanks

Q: 3. Would this ball head work on a Sirsui ET-1204 tripod?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 4. What is the mounting screw used for?

A: The mounting screw would be 3/8" female screw opening.

Q: 5. Can the release plate be replaced with the Manfrotto RC-4 plate?

A: No it won't work, I just tried it on mine. The RC-4 plate is too wide for the RRS clamp and it has a profile that doesn't match up with the Arca Swiss style of the BH-55 Screw Clamp. I still use my Manfrotto systems, but prefer the RRS for heavier gear like a full size camera with battery grip and a big lens.

Q: 6. My BH55 pan lock knob is stuck, and the base is unable to be locked into place. Is there a way to free the knob?

A: If it were me, I would get my water pump pliers, tape the jaws, use a cloth over the knob, and GENTLY move clockwise. That should do it. However, this action is at your own risk for it may not work and could possibly mar the finish as well as void the warranty. Therefore the official B&H response is please contact Really Right Stuff for service. Phone Toll Free: US & CANADA: 888-777-5557 Email: INFO@REALLYRIGHTSTUFF.CO

Q: 7. How does this Really Right Stuff compare to the Arca Swiss Monoball Z1 heads?

A: Both are great quality heads with a high load capacity, but the RRS head has a nicer feel and smoother movement.

Q: 8. Does this compatible with Gitzo GT3543XLS Systematic Series 3 Carbon Fiber Tripod ?

A: I have mine mounted on a GT4533LS. Works great. Why don't you call manufacturer? I think the thread is standard that fits most products but you should call RRS and Gitzo.

Q: 9. Please, I am requesting from other serious hobbyists and pros out there: Will the Really Right Stuff Ultralight L-Plate for Nikon D850 B&H # REBD850L MFR # BD850-L ULTRALIGHT L-PLATE work with the RRS BH-55 without any additional part or adapter for a strong connection between the two parts? I will be shooting landscapes in portrait mode with a Nikon D850 (without a grip.) I do not plan to do any stitching of panoramas in post. I will be shooting just individual, carefully shot photos with a Nikon 14-24 2.8, or Nikon 20mm 1.4, plus appropriate filters. Thank you for any relevant feedback you are willing to share.

A: Yes, it will fit with the BH55 without any additional parts.

Q: 10. Will this head fit on a Gitzo traveler 2 tripod and allow the tripod the fold up .?

A: No, this head is much wider than the Gitzo traveller head and will prevent it from folding up as small.

[Rigid Plastic] This is an ingenious little device that makes lens swapping a breeze. Works great with my Fuji lenses (most of the time sigma 18-50 and fuji 70-300). The lenses feel secure and the device seems sturdy and well built.

[Rigid Plastic] The Really Right Stuff BH-55 is a very secure ball head that will hold your camera or a Nikon 200-400 mm lens without compromising your set up. I have the BH-30 and BH-40, and those ball heads are right for traveling or a lighter set up with the camera and lens. I am also pleased with the ease of using the ball head and to have an instant secure camera set up in return. The screw-knob clamp is a secure way for interchanging different camera plates or lens plates. Will use for landscapes that are view points you can drive to and set up quickly.

[81A] I purchased a Nikon D850, Nikon 24-70 f2.8, Nikon 70-200 f2.8, and a Nikon 200-500 f5.6 from B&H over the past year. These were all upgrades from previous camera equipment. I tried various tripod heads and was not satisfied with the stability and precision; especially with the 200-500 set up. The BH-55 head has met all my expectations. A rock solid product. The B&H service was impeccable per usual. Highly recommend the RRS BH-55 for anyone with large camera equipment.

[81A] Everything looks great. Specs say this is for an X-T1 but took a chance. But the camera stop on the back side that fits below the LCD screen is not located in the correct position for an X-T10. Probably could be filed down to fit.

[81A] This makes switching lenses so easy. I prefer fixed focal length lenses to zoom. Very quick and safe to change lenses.

[Rigid Plastic] It's not cheap but it's worth every bit of the price. Every time I reach for my tripod and attach my camera, very pleased to be using this ball head. It's sooo smooth and controlled, you can't find a better ball head on the market. I chose the screw-knob as I'm always concerned the lever might get flipped and my camera go falling to the ground. With this ball head, I put my camera and tripod over my shoulder and have no worries about it coming free. Get this ball head and you'll be glad you have it!

[Rigid Plastic] Sturdy, solid ball head. I considered other ball heads, but decided on the RRS BH-55 because of the fast locking of the main lockdown knob and high weight it can handle.
