A: Air cushioned light stands will lower slower and with a little bit of a cushion and control. With out air cushion a stand can slam downwards if the user is not careful.

Q: 6. I lost one of the threaded knobs for this stand, is it possible to order a replacement knob?

A: Unfortunately, Impact Studio Lighting does not list the threaded tightening knob for the Impact Heavy-Duty Light Stand (Black, 13') as a separate replacement accessory. If you have misplaced yours, I would recommend contacting them directly either by calling them at (212) 594-2120 or by e-mailing them at info@impactstudiolighting.com to request a replacement knob. They should be able to assist you with your request.

[0.1 lb] I know that title is over used but it this case it is 100% true I went to B&H and I was gonna get another stand but the sales man told me that it wasn't worth the money and showed me this stand. I am so glad I purchased it it's sturdy and can hold over 22lbs I use it with my Avenger mini boom and it holds it with no problem. The one problem is that this stand isn't exactly compact if you are tight on room then you might have to get something more compact. 5

[8 x 4.7 x 1.4"] This thing will hold the biggest monolights. I'll shove an old Bowens 24000 on there with a huge softbox and this stand doesn't wobble at all. I'm planning to pick up a few more of these. 5

[0.1 lb] I do alot of outdoor location shooting and this stand is the one you need! Light weight compared to its size. Has a nice big footprint for solid footing. Holds my AB1600 with 3ft softbox and vagabond no problem. Plus the air cusion support is a big plus! 5

[8 x 4.7 x 1.4"] I wanted a heavy duty stand with enough strength to support any light modifiers I may later purchase. I think this one is a winner. It works great, and the air cushion is a nice addition. I wish it would go lower, but I'm not complaining since I didn't buy it to be a short stand. When I add another light to my kit, I'll be buying this product again. 5
