[0.1 lb] protect the lens while traveling, an hiding from wildlife. Cover is tight to attach, which is nice since it will prevent falling off while traveling. As a wildlife photographer we put photo gear to severe conditions, and this cover keeps dust, rain and mud out. Works much better than the original lens that came from the manufacturers. It is also washable. I have also use this cover to improvise a resting place for lens tripod mount when shooting away from the tripod. 5

[0.1 lb] My existing lens cap for my FD 300mm f/2.8 is badly deteriorated and finding a replacement is not easy. But this is! And it's easier to put on and remove. The padding makes it safer from the front element, too. 5

[0.1 lb] I am using this on my Tamron 150-600 lens for canon. I also have the lenscoat for the whole lens. This fits on the hood in both directions with the lenscoat also on. Works great and makes it convenient to leave the hood on and not have to slip the lens cap on. 5

[0.1 lb] I use this with the LensCoat TravelCoat for Tamron 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Lens (Black). The hoodie has a thick cushion at the bottom that seems very protective, and it fits over the hood well, without slipping off. 5
