A: That's exactly what I did and things worked fine - no conflict with modem at all, it was essentially plug and play. I also put a third one in so I have three rooms connected by the coax adapters: my office (with computers, printers, cable modem to Internet etc.); home theater room with internet-connected TV, appleTV and Blue ray player; and a third room with another TV. All are happy as clams.

A: Not sure what your needs are. I don't think you can daisy chain these. Nor should you need to. If you need more Ethernet/LAN ports (to connect more devices at one room/location) you can connect the RJ45 cable from the Coax Bridge into a Network/Ethernet switch (they come in multiple port options, 4, 6, 8, 12 etc) used to expand the number of ports and then connect the other devices directly into the ports on the switch.
