Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. COMPATIBLE CAMERAS?

A: This radio sync transceiver will work with most cameras that have a standard hotshoe. It is not TTL so the flashes will be manual only.It comes as one unit so you need at least two, one for the camera and one for the off camera flash.

Q: 2. I bought the Impact PowerSync16-80 Transceiver because it's backward compatible, but it will not fire my Speedlite 430 EX or my Travelite 750's... I can see that it is triggering on the display, but nothing happens. Any advice?

A: The PowerSync 16-80 is backward compatible with the Impact PowerSync 16. The PowerSync 16-80 will only trigger PowerSync 16-80 and PowerSync 16 receivers. When using the PowerSync 16-80, which has 80 channels, with the PowerSync 16, which has only 16 channels, use the dip switch guide found inside the battery door of the PowerSync 16-80. The PowerSync 16-80 uses channels 65-80 to correspond to the 16 channels on the PowerSync 16. Additionally, make sure all groups are shut off on the PowerSync 16-80.

Q: 3. Can you adjust the output of different groups remotely or do you have to adjust each flash output at the flash in question?

A: Hey Zach - to the best of my knowledge, you can certainly assign groups - seems like there were like four pairs across a,b,c,d - maybe. I don't know the math on how many pairs, groups, etc. But, I have truly enjoyed the three that I have - all the best - I hope this helps, all in all great value, comes in a protective pouch, and is pretty straight forward.

Q: 4. Does this work with the Nikon d7200 and d500 and if so do I need to buy extra cords?

A: This transceiver can work with Nikon DSLRs such as the D7200 and D500 using the hot shoe.

Q: 5. Can I use this transceiver with Elinchrom D-Lite 400W/s RX 4 Flash Head?

A: If you had 2 of these transceivers you could use it with the Elinchrom D-Lite 400W/s RX 4 Flash Head. The Impact PowerSync 16-80 will not fire the internal receiver on the Elinchrom. You need to have 1 PowerSync 16-80 attached to the 3.5mm sync port of the Elinchrome and 1 PowewerSync 16-80 on the camera.

Q: 6. Is this camera compatible with windows 10?

A: Yes, this camera will have no issue with Windows 10.

Q: 7. I have a PowerSync10 transmitter. Is this compatible?

A: Unfortunately, this unit is not compatible with the Impact PowerSync 10 transmitter.

Q: 8. What is the max sync speed when used with a Sony a7x/II series camera?

A: Most cameras can safely sync at 125, but the exact for each camera will be listed in your manual.

Q: 9. Do you have to buy a separate part for this to be compatible with a canon camera? Like some type of mount?

A: The Lensbaby Edge 80 Optic attaches to other Lensbaby lenses, and Lensbaby produces lenses with Canon EF mount. An example of a lens you could mount the optic on is the Lensbaby Composer: http://bhpho.to/1oBqzUA

Q: 10. If I have a Sony A65 with a Sony/Minolta hotshoe can I use a HD-N3 hotshoe adapter on the camera then attach the Power Sync 16-80 onto the adapter for it to work? I use this setup for a Yongnuo YN-560 II manual flash.

A: If the HD-N3 converts a Sony/Minolta hot shoe to a standard hot shoe, it is assumed that this will allow the Powersync 16-80 to work on your Sony A65. However, there are no tests which confirm that these products will work together.
