Q: 1. Guys Do you think I can use this Softbox with a Strobe head light also ? or just speedlite flash ?

A: Absolutely you can use this with a strobe as well as a speedlight! It is made easier though if you purchase the Westcott Appolo Mounting Arm as well, since the strobe can mount to the arm then stick out the bottom of the softboz allowing access to the controls on the back of the strobe. Without the arm, the strobe is completely inside the softbox which means you either have to reach up through the zippered compartment on the bottom, or pull off the front diffusion panel to change your power settings.

Q: 2. Can I use with Amaran COB 60d?

A: The Aputure Light Storm LS 60x Bi-Color LED Light BH #APLS60X does not have an umbrella port so it cannot be used with an apollo softbox which mounts via an umbrella shaft.

Q: 3. Are there any CFL fixtures that will work with this? Looking for this to pull double duty for stills as well as video. I know the D5 will fit in the orb, looking to put a continuous light in here as well.

A: While this cable fits Profoto Pro 7 series power packs for AC use, it will not work on the Profoto Pro 7B2 which is a battery powered power pack.

Q: 5. can i use this soft box with my spyderlight td6?

A: The TD6 is not a good combo with the 28 due to the size and configuration of the head which may cause the lamps to come in contact with the Modifier. The Apollo Orb kit or the JS Apollo with an added medium to heavy duty stand will work with the TD6 but the shallow soft boxes designed for use with the TD6 heads is the ideal combination.

Q: 6. I have Novatron M 500 monolights. My sessions takes around 2 to 3 hours. The modeling lights are on the whole time. Will this overheat the box?

A: This softbox is fine for modeling lamps that are 250 watts or below.

Q: 7. Hi! Just wondering if this will work with continuous light? I have the Spriderlight TD6!

A: I use a Yongnuo 300 II LED light in it and it works great for my purposes. However the 300 isn't the brightest light so you may want a bigger light source depending on your uses.

A: Unfortunately, this cable does not work with the Profoto Acute 2 1200 pack. The correct cable is the Profoto Power Cable for D2 (16', US / No. America) B&H # PRC13PCUS.

Q: 9. What stand would be a good choice to place the Westcott 50x50 very low to the ground for newborn photography? Preferably under $80.

A: I use Mathews reverse stand! It goes right low to the ground. Perfect for newborn and baby photography :)

A: The umbrella mount of the large Mega JS will easily accommodate either of these. Using a remote with power adjustment capabilities will enable you to control the output, even though the light head is enclosed within the modifier.
