The outdoor column speakersfrom outdoor column speakersreplaces the standard center column on Benro carbon fiber 0 series tripods. Using a short column allows you to take full advantage of the widest leg angle on these units, so that the tripod can reach its minimum height. The column features a standard 3/8"-16 thread for mounting most tripod heads.

A: The Bose 251 Outdoor Environmental Speakers (White) will come with a manufacture 5-Year Parts and Labor Warranty.

Q: 2. Can these speakers stand up to 120 desert summers? Would try to have them in the shade.

A: According to Bose: "Bose outdoor speakers are designed for harsh conditions. These weather resistant speakers are engineered and tested to withstand snow, rain, salt and temperature extremes of 140° F to -22° F. They are also protected by a five-year limited warranty." So these should stand up pretty well, specially if you have them in the shade.

Q: 3. Do these speakers need an amp? If so, which would you recommend?

A: Yes, they need an amplifier. I have mine connected to the Sony amp which drives our home entertainment system. I didn't purchase anything extra or special for the speakers.

Q: 4. does these speakers come with wall brackets and I would like to view the wall brackets?

A: Yes, they do come with adjustable brackets. I mounted these outside under the eaves of the house. I have had these for almost a year. They have worked out well.

Q: 5. How are they powered? Are they wireless for iPhones and I touch?

A: These speakers are conventional passive devices that require power to drive them from an amplifier or home AV receiver.

Q: 6. Do these speakers need an amp? If so, which would you recommend?

A: By no means am I an audiophile, but I purchased two pair for the decks on my new home. Because we are very rural and streaming costs are so high, I connected the to a Sirius radio, thru a Sonos Connect Amp. They work wonderfully, but I would assume any stereo receiver would suffice.

Q: 7. I can use this speakers with my Accostimas 10 Home theater as 7.1 soround speakers ?

A: The Bose 251 Outdoor Environmental Speakers (Black) BH #BO251B are meant to be connected with a powered Amp or receiver. It will not work with the Bose Acoustimass 10 Series V Home Theater Speaker System (Black) BH #BOACM10SVHTS.

Q: 8. Are they active or passive speakers?

A: These are passive speakers.

Q: 9. I have a QSC CX-204V 4 Channel Power Amplifier (70V), can it be used to power these speakers?

A: No. These speakers have an impedance of 8 ohms and will not work on a 70 volt system.

[2.8 oz (80 g)] I researched outdoor speakers and went to many stores to listen to many different brand names (B & W, B&O, etc.) These are not only the best for what I needed, but the sound and integration is amazing. I have to admit I'm a Bose fan, but have had other speakers and headphones and none have been able to contend with Bose products. The SA-5 amplifier was easy to set up and is easy to use. The app works well with the system and other SoundTouch speakers. I definitely recommend this set up. The highs are crisp and the lows are just enough without being overbearing. 5

[0.25 lb] As a Bose owner for over 10 years now, I know that's the price you pay for perfection. A bit disappointed though, at the fact that there is no gradual volume increase/decrease on the SoundTouch app. It goes a little too low or a little too high. There is no in-between. Hope they fix this. Have just 2 speakers covering more than 1500 sq ft outdoor space and afraid to play at even half volume. 5

[2.8 oz (80 g)] Speakers mounted outdoors, ceiling-mounted under an eave, about 25 feet apart. Very pleased with the sound, which is rich with bass, crisp highs, and pleasantly filling the space. Not sure why many reviewers detest the sound quality — they must be high-level audiophiles with expectations well beyond mine, or suffering from hearing loss in some bands of the frequency spectrum. 5

[3/8"-16, Male] This system has far surpassed my expectations. Yes they were a little pricy but you get what you pay for. I do take them in in the winter. I reinstall them in the summer. I have had them for a few years and every summer I am always impressed by the sound. And using the sound touch app is a breeze. It is hardwired to my network and I pull music to be played from my computer that had all of my music. The whole system works flawlessly. I have recommended this system to everyone I know. 5
