Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is it a fresh film?

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase.

Q: 2. Can I use this film for a Kodak brownie twin 20 ?

A: Not used it before but here is what I found doing a Google search Remember to re-spool the 120 film onto a 620 spool.

Q: 3. Will this work in 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 in film holders?

A: This size of film will have to be cut down to the size you need.

Q: 4. is it 35mm film ?

A: No, this is the 120/medium format version of Ilfordd FP4. You can find the 35mm version here:https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?N=10024661&InitialSearch=yes&sts=suggestions-pi&typedValue=ilford+fp target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?N=10024661&InitialSearch=yes&sts=suggestions-pi&typedValue=ilford+fp/a

Q: 5. Im ONLY 4 days into my Mamiya 645 1000s path, how do I know what films I can use in my camera,or,are all 120 films useable in the camera?

A: All 120 film could be used in the Mamiya 645.

Q: 6. As this film doesn't come in a canister how do you use it?

A: In place of the canister, the film is wrapped in lightproof paper. Unlike 35 mm film, when you load the film into the camera, you are not holding the film in your hand; instead, you are attaching a piece of lightproof paper to the spool. Once you close the camera back, you advance that roll of paper until, depending on the type of medium format camera you are using, you reach the beginning of the film.

Q: 7. Will the film give me a positive or a negative of the image?

A: in normal development it is negative, if you really want a positive you can send it to dr5.

Q: 8. How many rolls of film are in a box

A: The amount of exposures and rolls you can get from the FP4 Plus 35mm 100' Roll would in part depend on how you load the cassettes. That being said, you can typically fill 15-18 empty canisters from a 100 roll. If you are looking for pre-loaded 35mm cassettes, then we cary the options on the following link: http://bhpho.to/ZJrDkk

Q: 9. Does all the film come in a single bag, or are there multiple bags inside of the box of 100?

A: Four bags x 25 sheets each.

Q: 10. manufacturing date ?

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). [2.8 lb] FP4+ is a great choice for a slower black and white film. It's such a sharp and contrasty film without having super dark blacks or dark / muddy shadows. I'm pretty just it's just Ilford who offers at 125 speed. I also must say that Ilford's quality control is much better these days than Kodak's.

[125] Just acquired a Hasselblad 500 C/M. I was looking for a good B&W film to run through the camera to make sure it worked properly and didn't have any light leaks. Bought one roll of Ilford FP4 B&W film and the results were outstanding. The square format of the Hasselblad combined with the high contrast B&W provided awesome results.

[125] My go to film for most occasions. Easily pushed a stop. Haven't had a chance or need to try two stops yet. Smooth tonal range and contrast.

[2.8 lb] I usually prefer HP5 or Delta 400 in medium format, but I really enjoy my results in FP4, I might keep with it in the future.

[25 Sheets] used this film as my first roll through my new (to me) Mamiya RB67. so far the negative look very good and of the few prints I did make. They look very rich in tonality and almost non existing grane. Great Film so far....

[2.8 lb] My favorite film for decades. Wonderful tonality, low grain, forgiving exposure latitude. It's in all my film cameras I use for black and white. Buy some.
