Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does B&H (or anybody) sell replacement elastic for this model mount? Mine is more than 10 years old and useless.

A: Hi, we do not sell replacement elastic bands for this model. You may contact the manufacturer for replacement parts @ https://on-stage.com/replacement_parts. Thank you for shopping at B&H!

Q: 2. Is this item compatible with a boom arm?

A: The Gravity Stands MA POP 1 Pop Filter with VARI-ARM has a mounting clamp that is compatible with diameters and widths between 0.6-1.4", and could attach to a sturdy boom arm with a compatible diameter and adequate weight capacity. If not used on an arm directly, the MA POP 1 could surely be affixed to the side of a desk alongside a boom arm.

Q: 3. Will this fit my Behringer B2 Pro?

A: No, the Behinger B2 Pro Large Diaphragm Microphone has a diameter of 56mm and the On-Stage MY410 Studio Microphone Shock Mount is for use with microphones that have a diameter of 42 to 48mm. A compatible model is the On-Stage MY430 Shock Mount for Select Studio Microphones (B&H # ONMY430) which is designed to fit mics that have a diameter of 55 to 60mm.

Q: 4. Currently we have circular grommets that fit old microphone mounts. Will these new mounts fit our current grommet holes?

A: XLR inputs are a standard size so the grommets you have should fit into the circular holes. It is difficult to determine whether there may be any difference in the thickness of the plate on your old mic mounts to know whether or not the grommets you have will match the thickness of the plate on this mount. But there is a good chance that they can be a match.

Q: 5. Would you recommend this product for ‘Rode Podmic’?

If you have any other questions or inquiries, please let me know at any time. Best Regards, James (Product Specialist)

Q: 6. Will these replacement bands fit the Rode SM5 - Shotgun Microphone Suspension? BH #ROSM5 • MFR #SM5

A: We have not tested these with individual shock mounts, but there is a very good chance they will work fine. They are a returnable item within 30 days of purchase.

Q: 7. Do you recommend this Shock Mount for the Rode NT-USB?

A: This shock mount will not accommodate the Rode NT-USB, because the diameter of the mic is too large. The appropriate shock mount for the Rode NT-USB is the Rode SMR Advanced Shock Mount for Large Diaphragm Condenser Mics, BH #ROSMRASM.

Q: 8. Can I use this shock mount with either the Blue Encore 200 or the Rode M3?

A: Compatibility:For smaller diameter microphones such as pencil-style condenser mics, most dynamic or condenser handheld mics and some cylindrical shaped ribbon mics. Both mics should work with this mount.

[4.9 oz (140 g)] If you have and love the FS7 you need this shock mount along with two other items. I use a FS7 cheeseplate from Small Rig. That plate allows me to screw this Wooden Camera shock mount and an extension arm (also by Wooden) into the camera. It's rock solid! Yes the Wooden mount is made of heavy plastic. But it has HEAVY plastic and strong machine screws as well as a large torque producing handle. I had broken the original Sony mount. I had used and broken the Rode replacement (too delicate) and now I've found this. Buy it along with the extension arm and you can attach it directly to the camera or to a cheeseplate like me.

[0.95 lb] Super Handy for On Camera Mic's. Easy to adjust and seems like it's built well. No need to order extra rubber bands as it comes with extras when you buy it. I've never lost or broken one of the bands in 2 years of using it, so I can say they seem sturdy to me.
