This 1.6-stop, 100 x 150mm nd filter for blackmagic pocket cinema camerafrom nd filter for blackmagic pocket cinema camerais compatible with a LEE Filters 100mm System filter holder. This filter can be applied to create a warm cast over an entire image while darkening specific areas of that image, such as bright skies. This combination effect can be obtained under daylight when this filter is used on a film camera system with daylight film installed, or on a digital camera system with its daylight white balance setting selected. This filter's overall coloration corresponds to an ability to reduce 3850K color temperatures to 3200K, which reflects a mired shift value of +53 that can be applied to other starting color temperatures as well. While the ability to generate a warm cast extends throughout the entire filter, its neutral density feature is most pronounced at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a hard-edged line of transition between the areas with and without its neutral density coloration.

This filter is non-coated and is constructed from optical-quality resin for clarity as well as color fidelity. Where its neutral density coloration is most pronounced, the LEE Filters 100 x 150mm Combination 81EF and 0.3 Hard-Edge Graduated Neutral Density Filter has a 0.5 density with a 3x filter factor that darkens the corresponding area of an image by 1.6 stops. This is due in part to the 0.2 density of the filter's overall warm cast.

The greater the color temperatures they can potentially reduce to 3200K, light balancing filters are considered to be progressively stronger in their effect when used to add warmth to a daylight image.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it have Global Shutter?

A: Nope, it has another cheap wobbly shutter to save costs

Q: 2. Whats the best adapter for Canon EF lenses and how does the autofocus work?

A: I cannot recommend adapters. Auto focus is a single focus not continuous. You may tap the viewfinder at the area you want to focus.

Q: 3. what is the recommended speed of an external HD to record directly from usb c?

A: Currently Blackmagic is suggesting the Samsung T5 Portable Solid-State Drive system, which has write speeds up to 515 MB/s. We will need to wait for the camera to be released for more information and details on exactly what drives are needed for specific modes.https://bhpho.to/2sloSqT

Q: 4. Can you guys add a waveform and vectorscope in this camera ?

A: Not in-camera, no.

Q: 5. Will the Viltrox EF-M2 EF to M43 speedbooster (metabones competitor) work with this camera?

A: At this time we do not sell Viltrox products. However we would have to believe that if you have an adapter that allows EF lenses to work on a camera with an MFT Mount, it should work with this camera.

Q: 6. Shipping date? At IBC you guy said it will ship this week. Is it true?

A: What is a realistic shipping date? It now says November, is this also for people that preordered before? I preordered it since June. You said before you were on time, now another delay... what a disappointment!

Q: 7. Question for Blackmagic - How many mm of thickness is the filter stack of this camera? Most m4/3 cameras have 4mm, but the previous Blackmagic cinema cameras had just 2.4mm

A: If you are referring to the IR filter in the camera, it's 1.4mm thick. We conform to the MFT specification regarding lens mount so all MFT lenses will fit and there is no fear of any mechanical interference.

Q: 8. Will I be able to use Final Cut Pro X with Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K?

A: Check the codecs for Final Cut Pro X. BMPCC has a number of different codecs you can shoot in including apple pro res, which should work. You probably wont be able to use BRAW. Premiere and AVID can but as far as I know not Final Cut.

Q: 9. what sd card?

A: You will need V90 rated cards such as the Lexar 128GB Professional 2000x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card with SD Card Reader, BH #LESD2000128R. Keep in mind though that even with the fastest SD card you will not be able to record at the highest qualities this camera allows. CFast 2.0 or a USB-C SSD is required for that. https://bhpho.to/33kOWFv

Q: 10. When will Blackmagic provide necessary accessories like a battery grip, sun hood, EVF to connect to the HDMI or an analogue loupe?

A: We don't give out information about upcoming products/accessories. If you need these items now, you can look for third party options.

[Rigid Plastic] You will want to pick one of these guys up, that way you have a backup. The price isn't too bad either.

[Rigid Plastic] It's not super-impressive in terms of image quality, but still it feels right to look through this EVF, instead of the external displays.

[Rigid Plastic] Not much to elaborate on here. The power supply does what it is supposed to do. That is, it supplies power. A haiku: This power supply works Supplies electricity To my pocket cam

[Rigid Plastic] I got this free as a package with my Blackmagic Camera. I'm equally thankful it still fits while utilizing the SmallRig cage I have. Great clarity and adjustability

[Rigid Plastic] I bought this for the BMPCC and gave it a 3-star review above. That being said, for the Ricoh GR, it's just amazing. Fits it perfectly and protects it in all situations -- bottom of bag, beach, etc. Can't beat it. If you have a GR, this is a must-have. Also great for iphone/watch/etc in a pinch.

[Rigid Plastic] Very sturdy, since it's one solid piece unlike other options. Easy to mount, and precisely threaded. I bought the 6K Pro cage from Kondor Blue, but ended up returning that and bought this. It is so much better. In buying this, you'll also be supporting a US based company--although they're owned by Vitec--that truly innovates in this space and doesn't just copy what works.

[Rigid Plastic] This EVF has a great OLED build in with good color representation and I love the different eye pieces.
Aside from the obvious facts on why to use an EVF in certain situations, I find myself often operating my BMPCC handheld and pressing the EVF against my eye allows me that extra control through my head movement giving it much smoother camera moves.

One complaint I have tho is when using this EVF with the BMPCC Full Frame shooting Open Gate with Clear Feed, the image doesn't utilize the entire OLED but rather crops in which is extremely annoying. It accounts for the space the menu would need but I wished it could give up that menu space when going Clean Feed.
It's an easy Software fix.

[Rigid Plastic] Clean image, more accurate representation of exposure than the built-in LCD of the P6k Pro, handy to have that additional point of contact for handheld filming
