The lens mount sony a6000from lens mount sony a6000allows a Leica R-mount lens to be used with a full-frame or APS-C format Sony E-mount camera. It is designed to support infinity focusing, and is constructed from brass and an aluminum-alloy along with a stainless-steel lens mounting ring to provide a durable, yet lightweight camera-to-lens connection.

This adapter does not support electronic communication between an attached camera and lens. After being placed on the front of the adapter, focus and aperture controls on the lens would continue to be used. To help prevent stress on the camera mount when placed on a tripod, the adapter includes a detachable Arca-type compatible tripod foot with 1/4"-20 threads.

A: This would be an excellent camera for everyday shooting, where one might not need higher resolution for photo or video work. It would certainly offer a great number of AF points and a faster continuous shooting rate over the Canon EOS Rebel T3i.

A: I haven't used it under water.

Q: 5. How long is the videos that the camera can take?

A: On page 36 of the product manual (Google it to find a PDF copy) there is a table that is supposed to answers your question. They do use a 32-bit file system on the memory card (i.e. FAT32) which allows for larger files, but they claim there is a 2GB file size limit that is in play depending on the quality setting of the video. Now, that said, in his book on the a6000, Gary Friedman (please visit his web site!) indicates he has no problem creating video files larger than 2GB.HOWEVER, there is a design limit of 29 minutes -- actually 29 minutes and 50 seconds -- even if space is not an issue with the settings you choose. This is imposed by European Union import restrictions, not by any technical limitation (per Gary). It is a 'world' camera and has to meet all the rules everywhere I guess. My understanding is the recording will stop at that point and you simply have to hit record again.

A: The A6000 performs well with low light in stills and video shooting. A good ISO range to stick with would be 1600-3200.

A: Only front lens cap.

[0.315 lb] It was difficult to move away from the Nikos system, but I needed a lighter camera for traveling when I could not drag all my equipment. The compact design, and the reviews sold me on the a6000, but now I use it all the time. It gives nikon great competition 5

[0.315 lb] I'm a new photographer with a little experience borrowing a Nikon D3000 and Cannon Rebel t4. I've always loved the quality of these dslrs but hated how clunky they are. The mirrorless compactness of the a6000 is so so convenient. I am actually taking it along with me on my day to day. It doesn't feel like such a commitment to carry it along. And I have the best photos on instagram now! I also use it for my art business, documenting my fine art to transfer to prints. It's not as crisp as scanning but it works for smaller prints. 5

[0.315 lb] I was originally a Nikon user, but i've been out of the photography loop for MANY years and resorted to using the Panasonic DMZ series while raising my kids. It was small, easy to use and the photos were decent. But of course, they weren't great and that dang lens kept going into error mode. Well the kids are gone and I wanted to get something nice for under $1000, but everything was so big and bulky. That's when I saw the Sony. I watched an independent video review on it and said that's what I want. I just took it to Hawaii for a week, shot about 700 pictures and I am ecstatic with the quality! The camera was super easy to get a quick grasp on how to use it. It obviously has many more features for me to get used to and use, but right off the bat I was doing all the things I did previously and the end result is WAY better! As the cobwebs of using all the manual features slowly clear away I am looking forward to getting experimental and not just use all the presets.(and there are a ton of great ones!) I am excited to shoot pictures again! 5

[0.315 lb] Recently purchased Sony A6000. Although I have Canon and Nikon Dslr cameras .. I've always been intrigued with mirrorless cameras. With a lot of positive reviews on A6000 .. I decided it was time to see what all the mirrorless chatter is about. Although I've only had camera a few weeks .. I really enjoy using it. It takes sharp photos .. fast focusing .. light/small enough to carry around with me. I can easily see me using A6000 more and more .. leaving my Dlsr(s) at home. In my opinion I can take as good or better photos with A6000.... 5

[0.315 lb] I use the A6000 for personal photography. I have taken a few pictures that are printed on aluminum and acrylic and hanging on my wall next to professional photographers and you can't tell the difference! Love the ease of use once you figure out where everything is in the menus. Wifi works great and the transfer to phone/tablet is an awesome feature for the social media crowd. 5
