[Black] I've been using Remote Audio cables for 15 years. I purchased this cable to feed audio from my SONY FS-100 rig to a Sennheiser MKH-50 mounted on a NATO handle. I prefer coiled cables in this application to prevent cable slap when moving around with the camera. Some people may have issues with the 90 degree connecter feed into the camera body but I prefer this set-up as it keeps the profile as tight as possible so I can easily transport the camera rig in an ORCA bag without ever having to disconnect the cable from the camera. I got to tour the Remote Audio facility in Nashville last year. Great people making a great product.

[Black] I needed these cables for taking 4 outputs from a sound board via XLR to a Blackmagic DeckLink video capture card with 1/4 audio inputs. Works great, very solid connectors. These cables will take a beating and last a long time.

[1.235 lb] This is a great quality coiled XLR cable. It is about 6 to 18 length. For camcorder applications, be aware that there are 2 90 degree connectors which can make the camcorder side connection difficult or impossible because of the 90 degree connector. If you need 2 90 degree connections on a short and compact XLR cable, this is perfect.

[Black] So, honestly, I don't know if cables are really worth this kind of money. Good cables cost, but do they really cost this much? I'm not a manufacturer so I can't say. All I can say is that I wanted the best cables to minimize interference and signal loss and these fit the bill. I could have bought less expensive cables that caused disappointment and then I would be out that money, so I just went for the "best". Absolutely no disappointment and signals are very clean. I didn't needs the "stage" model, but I couldn't find the regular "Gold" in a 30-foot length. Now that I have Mogami cables connecting all of my equipment (and a wallet that has substantially less green), I have peace of mind. This brand is one that you will be very happy with if you can spend the money and not look back. Don't think about first costs or you'll cry but - later - you'll be glad that you used some of your 401k to get the best.
