The automatic lightning trigger for canonfrom automatic lightning trigger for canonis a five-in-one camera trigger with a programmable touchscreen interface for accessing and changing your settings. It features a triggering speed of less than 1 ms for capturing fast moving or momentary objects and scenes and has a variety of different modes. An event-driven time lapse setting introduced in this model allows you to trigger time lapse shooting based on an external event, like lightning or sound. There are also options for adjusting the frequency and exposure.

Other operating modes include a lightning mode that will detect lightning strikes, a laser trigger setting for detecting when the beam from an optional laser pointer has been broken, a sound trigger for sensing loud noises, and a motion trigger via the use of a passive infrared sensor. All of these settings can have their sensitivity, exposure, timing, and delay adjusted and the motion sensor works up to 30' away. It runs on 4 AAA batteries and can run on AC power with an optional adapter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will it work with lens laowa 100 f2.8 2:1 ultra macro?

A: Yes. But the lens must be driven in manual mode.

Q: 2. Does this allow autofocusing and image stabilization with Canon EF-S lenses?

A: Most lenses will autofocus but it does not support lens image stabilization. And depending on the camera the AF might not function because of the light loss using extension tubes.

Q: 3. Is the Miops FLEX Bolt Lightning Trigger and Camera cable compatible with the Nikon Z8?

A: Yes, the Miops FLEX Bolt Lightning Trigger is compatible with the Nikon Z8 Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 4. Can these be used when stacked together?

A: Yes they can be used when stacked together.

Q: 5. Does it work with Nikon Z8?

A: The FotodioX 15mm Pro Automatic Macro Extension Tube for Nikon Z-Mount has not been tested on the Z8 or tested with every lens. But technically should work.

Q: 6. Will the Fotodiox extension tubes fit in front of the Sony 1.4x or 2.0x teleconverters? The opening in the Vello tubes is to restrictive.

A: I tried this combination using the Sony 90mm ƒ2.8 Macro. These extension tubes allow the Sony SEL14TC to physically mount, but the shutter and all electronic functions of the lens are disabled. In theory, the combination should work with a non-electronic macro lens. I've tested mechanical lens mount adapters with the 1.4X TC and had good results. If you do attempt this, I recommend using both tubes. The 16mm is slightly too short, causing the rubberized tip of the teleconverter to touch the baffle in the lens mount.

Q: 7. Can this be combined with the 45mm teleconverter for greater macro magnification with the 120 macro lens? Or two 45s?

A: The FotodioX 20mm Pro Automatic Macro Extension Tube for FUJIFILM G-Mount can be combined with the FotodioX 48mm Pro Automatic Macro Extension Tube for FUJIFILM G-Mount for greater magnification when used with the FUJIFILM GF 120mm f/4 Macro R LM OIS WR Lens.

Q: 8. Does this work with the RF 24-105 f4L IS USM lens?

A: Yes, the FotodioX 35mm Pro Automatic Macro Extension Tube for Canon RF-Mount will work with the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens.

Q: 9. Can this be attached to the MC-20 teleconverter? i.e. Camera=MC-20=Viltrox = lens

A: I would not recommend using the Viltrox Automatic Extension Tube Set for Micro Four Thirds on the Olympus MC-20 M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter. The Olympus MC-20 M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter is designed for use on specific Olympus M.Zuiko telephoto lenses to increase the lens' focal length, whereas the Viltrox extension tubes are designed to increase magnification for close-up photography, but causes you to lose focus at infinity. The two items are not typically used together, and Viltrox has not tested the use of their extension tube with the Olympus teleconverter.

Q: 10. Is the Miops FLEX Bolt Lightening Trigger compatible with the Canon 5DS-R and the Sony a7RIV?

A: The Miops Nero Trigger Cable for Canon 3-Pin Cameras, B&H # MICABLEC1, would be the correct Miops cable compatible for connecting and using the Miops FLEX Bolt Lightning Trigger with both the Canon EOS 5DS R DSLR Camera, and the Miops Camera Cable for Sony E-Series Cameras (3.3'), B&H # MICABLES2, would be the correct cable for use with the Sony Alpha a7R IV Mirrorless Digital Camera. Both are special order items that are not kept in our inventory. We do not order the above cables from Miops until we receive an order from a customer. The estimated arrival after purchase is 2-4 weeks. As of the date/time of this reply, if you need an alternative option, the Vello 2.5mm Remote Shutter Release Cable II for Cameras with Canon 3-Pin Connectors, B&H # VERCC2C225, and the Vello 2.5mm Remote Shutter Release Cable II for Cameras with Sony Multi-Terminal Connectors, B&H # VERCC2S225, would be options currently in stock and available for shipping for your usage needs. https://bhpho.to/3PEhgv0 https://bhpho.to/2LAAkvB https://bhpho.to/3tICuL1 https://bhpho.to/3bhbZVd

[LCD touchscreen] Tube set makes my 15 -45 mm lens really versatile for catalog photography

[LCD touchscreen] These are very serviceable extension rings that work as advertised. My only gripe is that the metal mounts on each ring are a bit rough. I think, however, they will get better with use. Just be careful when first using them, and you'll be fine.

[<1 ms] Oh my goodness, this set of tubes really does what you would expect of it and allows really close focus.

The maximum focal length is correspondently close of course, but that's what you would expect, isn't it?

Coupled with an actual Marro lens (the Olympus 60 mm, for example) you can focus right down to the exact nitty gritty of whatever you're trying to focus on. It's frightening how close you can get to your subject. The depth of field is paper thin as you would expect, but that's what Macro photography is all about.

This set of tubes relays the electrical information required for Autofocus, and is completely transparent in use.

I don't think spending more money would result in any better result.

[LCD touchscreen] These extension tubes work very well with my older Olympus 12-50 (macro) lens (with my Panasonic G9). It maintains the AF - quick and sharp, and allows me to get within an inch or less of tricky subjects such as small insects. With no glass, the pictures remain as sharp as the lens itself. Fit is tight and true, no problems. A great purchase, very happy with the results.

[LCD touchscreen] Can’t complain better than expected

[LCD touchscreen] These let me focus closer without modifying a lens. They won't zoom or perform any optical correction, which is good. They correctly pass through the EF-M mount signals so lenses work the same, though focus can get a little squirrely at the limits of range. Easy to correct with MF mode and the peaking feature.

For the price I think it's just something you should do, it's fun to have and will be critical when trying to shoot small stuff.

[<1 ms] The extension tubes are well crafted and work great with my Lumix 25mm lens. I use them to convert to macro. I could use the auto focus and got my lens almost touching the flowers I was shooting. I just started learning photography, and these are great beginner's accessories.

[LCD touchscreen] I have no previous experience with extension tubes, and so these are my first set for my mirrorless Olympus om-D! Really love how well these tubes still allow communications between my M. Zuiko lenses and the camera, and record all EXIF data. Was able to use the tubes on my lenses from the 60mm macro lens, to 45 mm f1.8 prime lens. Works magic with the telephoto 40-150mm lens too, though the contact sometimes get loose with this lens only. The contact sometimes becomes loose when two tubes are used together, but nothing a little wriggling and holding won't fix.

[LCD touchscreen] This set gives me exactly what I wanted, a way to get started experimenting with macro photography without spending a pile. I functions as advertised with my X-T1
