The short run usb 2 fiber optic cableis designed for studio and broadcast applications. It comes with a tear-resistant polyurethane jacket that ensures superb mechanical strength. This 500' cable can transmit uncompressed HD video transmissions over long distances. It offers easy maintenance with a detachable alignment sleeve and insulator. The stainless steel tip and solder contacts is fixed in the insulation housing. The Canare HFO SMPTE connectors are LEMO compatible.

[41.35 lb] I wrapped a 250ft Outdoor POE CAT6 Network Cable on this reel and it really works well. Not the most durable reel I have ever used but for a network cable it's just what I needed. 5

[41.35 lb] SO glad I bought this little reel. I use it to store my audio cables that have a strong bias, and don't seem to want to be wrapped in the usual over-under method, so the reel is the perfect solution, making setup and tear down easy and quick. It also has a larger core radius, so the cables aren't stressed (critical angle or something like that). It has a brake, which I don't use, so I simply removed it. It is plastic - so it's quite light and easy to carry. It seems to be strong enough to last many years. The only downside to this reel is that because it is so very light, it tends to follow me as I pull the cables off, but putting a heavy mic stand on the leg easily fixes that. Honestly, this little baby is great - especially considering that I was originally looking to buy one of the metal reels - but those things cost about ten times the price! This reel isn't made to be stackable, but that is absolutely fine with me. (Man, rereading my review here makes it look like I work for the company, but I assure you that is not the case!) Anyway - really glad I bought this baby! Cheers! 5

[41.35 lb] I've never actually had a major gig where I've needed this cable. For smaller venues I've used it for, very sturdy. Good tool to keep in the shed. 5

[41.35 lb] We tried other fiber cables of this length that were not reliable. The other cables would worth 'most' of the time but occasionally would drop the connection or slow down. This cable was the answer to all our problems! Its fast and reliable 100%. Yes you can find something less expensive, but based on my experience it will likely not be reliable. You really do get what you pay for with this product, its excellent, fast and reliable. 5

[41.35 lb] Lower cost than most cable reels, good quality. I am using this for a CAT5e digital audio snake. A side reel for the tails would be a big plus. 5
