A: My data vac has black sponge filter underneath. Filter protects from small particles to be sucked into this little jet engine, so every data vac must have filter. Only blower doesn't have filter. Buy one where there is good rating, don't save money where is no rating.

The only difference between the ED500 and ED500P is the fan specification.
