A: Sort of, you will get sound but it will not operate very well at increased volumes. Ultimately I would not recommend doing it. I think it would eventually damage the voice coil.

Q: 5. Would these work good mounted in the cieling of a home theater? Room is 11 x 13.

A: We used these speakers for our office music system and in this application, they work well; however, I don't think I would recommend these speakers for a theatre room. I am not sure you would be pleased with the sound quality in that context. Also, keep in mind, this is a stereo speaker (in one unit). I don't think they are designed to be used in a theatre room.

A: The included brackets have a ball on the end that the speaker mounts to. You can tighten with the included allen wrench at any position you choose. These speakers sound great!
