A: Unfortunately when I broke mine in the past I've had to buy a new one as all the parts inside are pretty well sealed up. I crushed the link toggle switches into the unit and my engineer was unable to take the circuitboard out because the front facing XLR's are attached to the face. All in all, not very user-friendly.

[23' / 7 m] We tried other fiber cables of this length that were not reliable. The other cables would worth 'most' of the time but occasionally would drop the connection or slow down. This cable was the answer to all our problems! Its fast and reliable 100%. Yes you can find something less expensive, but based on my experience it will likely not be reliable. You really do get what you pay for with this product, its excellent, fast and reliable. 5

[23' / 7 m] Lower cost than most cable reels, good quality. I am using this for a CAT5e digital audio snake. A side reel for the tails would be a big plus. 5

[2x ST Male] Works well with USB 3 and USB 2 (and below) devices, which is rare. The vast majority of optical USB cables available work with only one or the other. (A USB3-only cable won't transfer USB2 traffic even with a hub on the remote end supporting both.) This cable is transparent to almost all my USB devices, including a scanner that didn't work on a usb-over-ethernet extender previously. The only thing that hasn't worked through it for me was a bluetooth adapter -- though I'm not sure if that's due to the cable or the hub I have attached to it. If it matters to anyone, this cable shows up as 1a40:0101 Terminus Technology Inc. Hub. 5

[9 µm] I had to drill large holes in the very center of the plate to allow for easy in/out of the short end of the cable. After that these reels worked great. Totally worth the price and the headache relief of under/over cable wrapping until your arms fall off. I started with 1 and bought 5 more recently. 5
