A: The Transmitter is able to power the Reciever using POE. The transmitter needs to be plugged in with the included power supply to provide POE.

Q: 3. Do both sender and receiver units need to be powered? Or is power required only at one end?

A: Both units need to be powered. Two AC power supply come in the box.

Q: 4. Is there a lag in the output video after switching among inputs?

A: With switchers like this there will tend to be a delay when switching from input to input. However we are not aware of any lag once the video has been switched.

Q: 5. Do I have to use an HDMI distribution amplifier with these or can I simply run my source directly into the transmitter?

A: I am not using any kind of signal amplification over a 70 ft CAT6 run, and I haven't had any trouble. If you're getting near the stated max run length, it might be prudent, but otherwise, you should be fine.

A: This product has a limited warranty of 10 years.

Q: 7. I need to de-embed 4K HDMI and feed the audio to an ADAT input on a Scarlet 18i20 audio interface. Is the optical output compatible with ADAT or is it just the consumer version for A/V receivers?

A: The Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 18x20 USB Audio Interface (3rd Generation) does have optical inputs. While we are not aware of a specific test between the two products, we believe it should be possible to feed the Atlona in to the Scarlett Product.

A: Yes, If your projector has HdBaseT input you would only need to use the Atlona AT-HDVS-TX VGA/Audio + Two HDMI to HDBaseT Extender Switcher with Display to connect to your projector.
