The 1000' lightning metal snake cablefrom lightning metal snake cableincludes a cut-proof and rodent-resistant tactical snake cable and heavy duty tactical reel. The cable supports four optical channels and features a double jacket glass yarn armored construction and black PUR outer jacket. The connector features an all-metal housing and spring-loaded push-pull locking mechanism, and it's well protected against dirt and dust by an automatically operated sealing cover.

The cable is tested for < -55dB return loss and comes with diagnostics documentation.

Clearly the back of the DM7X module does not have a DB-25pin connecter, so using the Hosa snake to connect the pads to the module isn't going to work.

[Multimode] I bought this Whirlwind 12 channel snake to run into my new 22 x 10 Drum room recently finished in my home studio. I have not installed it as of yet but after examining the snake and its components I feel that it will be an excellent choice for this application. It will be run thru the wall into a nearby tracking room to be patched into a 16 channel wall box that is attached to my console in the control room. All the components used are very robust and high quality. I am looking forward to many years of trouble free service. FYI I almost chose another brand which was significantly cheaper but after reading the reviews on the cheaper snake, I came to the conclusion it was a piece of junk. Your sound is only as good as your weakest link so why use high dollar microphones only to get subpar transmission thru cheap wire and shielding. Hats off to Whirlwind products.John A. 5

[< -55 dB] it is portable, well finished, the numbers are clear and the shield of wires are rough. measure is the correct for the large of the stage, I am happy about flexible of the wire. 5

[< -55 dB] I had owned a whirlwind for many years and never had a problem with it. It was a 100ft 24 channel snake and became too large for my needs. I sold it and purchased a much cheaper (not whirlwind) 25ft 12 channel snake that lasted a couple of years and then had to have 3 channels repaired over a 6 month period. I had enough of that and purchased this one and I am expecting it to be the dependable snake that I had with it's big brother for so many years. 5
