[OpticalCON QUAD] Best stage box on the market for a tight budget. Solidly built. Can take a lot of abuse. Great value for the money!

[60.5 lb] I had owned a whirlwind for many years and never had a problem with it. It was a 100ft 24 channel snake and became too large for my needs. I sold it and purchased a much cheaper (not whirlwind) 25ft 12 channel snake that lasted a couple of years and then had to have 3 channels repaired over a 6 month period. I had enough of that and purchased this one and I am expecting it to be the dependable snake that I had with it's big brother for so many years.

[60.5 lb] I bought this Whirlwind 12 channel snake to run into my new 22 x 10 Drum room recently finished in my home studio. I have not installed it as of yet but after examining the snake and its components I feel that it will be an excellent choice for this application. It will be run thru the wall into a nearby tracking room to be patched into a 16 channel wall box that is attached to my console in the control room. All the components used are very robust and high quality. I am looking forward to many years of trouble free service. FYI I almost chose another brand which was significantly cheaper but after reading the reviews on the cheaper snake, I came to the conclusion it was a piece of junk. Your sound is only as good as your weakest link so why use high dollar microphones only to get subpar transmission thru cheap wire and shielding. Hats off to Whirlwind products.John A.

[OpticalCON QUAD] this product is built to last. the strain reliefs are solid...the connections on the snake are well built and fit all the cords I have. not the first whirlwind product I have owned...and definitely not the last.

[50 µm] I am always wanting to eliminate any link in my audio chain that will compromise any loss of signal.Saying that, If you were to see my studio, you would understand.Its still a home studio though, and to spend a large amount of money on a cable snake thats 5' long, I had to take time and think about it.After reading the spec on the cable and trying to look closely at the picture supplied, I decided, why not.I can see where the money has gone.No effort has been spared to construct this cable, its very robust, completely shielded and apart from dragging it behind a car for 40 miles, its definitely a once in a lifetime purchase.all cable ends both braided and then shrunk wrap coatings are as good as any top shelf cable I have, and if the specs are anything to go by, I'm yet to see any other cable of this type on the market that will match it.As with any signal path you still have to be mindful of what cables are running next to what, so I still don't run audio less than 150mm parallel to power and always cross at 90 degrees. My recording equipment gets moved around alot, so to have something that can handled regularly and not show signs of ware and tear is a big one. Although I have only had it for a short time, I reckon this cable will last as long as any I have.Well done to the crew at Mogami, well made.If you can afford it, you will only buy it once, thats worth considering.

[OpticalCON QUAD] I use this product in a Childrens Room(K-6th), as a drop snake for the main sanctuary, and youth room(6th-12th graders). It is a great, low profile snake for the budget driven. I have owned many Whirlwind products and have had very few problems with them over the years. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a reliable, and durable snake.
