A: No. This would just work with Chrome OS, Linux, Windows

A: Yes, it has 7 levels of white backlight.

Q: 7. Does it work with a iMac? Judging by the pictures it does not have the mac distinctive keys...

A: I have the PC version of this keyboard connected to my MacBook Pro, and it works fine. The Option and Command keys are interchanged, but you can swap them in System Preferences. The volume knob, mute button and media buttons (stop/start, rewind, forward) work, too.

[19.1 x 8 x 1.1"] If you spend a lot of your life writing, like I do, you may find that you long for the great IBM selectric keyboards that gave you a mechanical feedback. Today's keyboards are uniformly mushy, with a few exceptions, such as Lenovo's famous keyboards. So after reading the reviews I sprung for the Das Keyboard 43 professional. It has a great response and feel. Nice click but not too loud. Would not recommend if you work in a quiet spot and don't want to wake up roommates! 5

[19.1 x 8 x 1.1"] Purchased the blue switch before this and was just too clicky for me. This one is a perfect tactical keyboard, responsive, comfortable, and beautiful. 5

[USB-A ] My previous keyboard was a Realforce Topre keyboard (8 years). Moving to the Das with Cherry MX Brown switches has been a pleasant change. 5

[USB-A ] I'm a programmer and have had a CM Storm for 10 years. The printing was wearing off and I decided I was due for a new keyboard. I had a coupon and decided to get a Logitech g915. Big mistake. That's a bad keyboard. Short keystrokes, and seems very vulnerable to windows updates (Loses connectivity except for the volume wheel and requires a reboot to fix). Gave the Logitech to my wife ;-) and got the Das for me. Perfect in every way. 5
